I may have PP and until I find out my doc told me;no sex, no foreign objects inside of your vaginal area, and no orgasms. But you can do stuff for your hubby. As long as you don't orgasm and nothing penetrates anywhere...

I have previa and my midwives said that I couldn't have sexual intercourse, vaginal exams etc. Also no exercising or lifting. She told me that I will have a follow up u/s when I hit 28 weeks to see if my placenta goes up... if it doesn't, then I won't be allowed to have orgasms anymore in addition to all the rest of the list. So as it stands I am allowed to orgasm - woo-hoo!

Knowing that I won't be able to later if it doesn't change does make me think that it's not 100% safe though...

I know that all doctors have different opinions... but those were my specifics.

Well I had been diagnosed with marginal previa around 12 weeks and by 19 weeks it had corrected itself and all my doc said was no intercourse know what we did, lol. I never had any problems and no other spotting at all so I think you are fine. I figured if she did not want me to have orgasms she would have stipulated no orgasms. She was more or less worried about his penis jarring the problem and making me bleed again as much as that sucked we dealt with it and all was fine but if you are uncomfortable then I would suggest asking your doctor more specifically what you can and can't do. Good luck and I hope you have some fun!

I was reading in a book that orgasms from masturbation isn't safe even with an uncomplicated pregnancy. I think it's because of the intensity of the orgasm, it can cause contractions. The book said it's safe during intercourse though because the orgasm isn't as intense. Just keep yourself busy, hopefully that takes your mind off of things, hehe.
