yeah ok. legs crossed. that works. so does pull and pray. LOL
you are just like me. hehe. i know you say "i don't want any more kids" but something in your mind tells you that you are not ready to make that call yet. right? my saying is "i don't NEED any more kids" but again, i don't have a prevention method either. pull and pray works pretty good for us though.
i hope you find something that works for you. the depo shot is ok. lasts about 3 months and then you get another. HOWEVER for me my hair falls out quite a bit. but maybe for you that's ok!! LOL. but as with any BC being on it for longer than 2 years is unsafe and can cause osteoporosis (sp?)
just be careful ok??

Ya know, I really don't know exactly what I am going to get done now. I thought I would do the 'Essure' procedure, but now I'm not so sure. I was talking to my best friend about it, and she pretty much talked me out of it. As far as my tubes tied, I just don't know. I might just wait a bit. But my six week check up is coming up and I'm going to talk to my doctor. We'll see. Right now I'm just keeping my legs crossed. ;)

Yeah, I had those alcohol swabs, and I would wring two out on his cord AND pull it back just a tad so that it got behind it too. mhmmm. And he sweats a lot. I don't think I've given it a chance to dry out. Geez, you'd think I knew something by now huh? lol. Watch. I bet if I don't put any stuff on it all day tomorrow it'll actually have a chance to dry by tomorrow night. My brilliance is blinding sometimes huh?

you might not have been exposing enough to the air for it to dry out, which would explain the smell. But now that you have been dousing it with alcohol, that would explain it not falling off. use alcohol with a Q-tip and get wayyyyyyyyyyyy down in there ONCE A DAY

the first two weeks i did nothing...but i've been seriously dosing it with alcohol this last week...maybe too much. i just can't find a happy medium here. Thanks Hailey. That made me feel better. I was worried because it smelled.

They told me to leave Jacob's alone and it would fall off in a week. That sounds gross.

haha. i don't mean to laugh but OMG talk about deja-vous . .. my first childs cord took over a month to fall off, and my 2nd took about 4 weeks. it stunk to high heaven let me tell you!!!! i don't know how you are taking care of it, but what i learned after having number 3 and 4 is that i was preserving it. they told me to use alcohol after every diaper change, and use the cotton swabs, but i would kinda use a "little" too much. now with #3 they had us use cotton swabs instead and it took like 2 weeks or so. now with cameron they changed it and said use nothing. i thought they were crazy!! well it was like 5-6 days and it was off!! i couldn't believe it. however i still used a tad bit of alcohol because otherwise it gets all crusty and dirty in there.
So this is what you do now. every diaper change expose it out as much as possible. pull it away as much as you can so it doesn't stick to the skin. once a day use a cotton swab to ensure it doesn't get bacteria in there.
it'll fall off. as long as it's not:
red puffy/swollen leaking pussy fluid given him a fever or loss of appetite
give it another week and see.

You'd think I might know something by now, but nope. I suffer from CRS (can't remember sh!t) when it comes to when the kids were babies. Well, this lo's cord stump has not fallen off yet. It's been over three weeks. But it is now just starting to separate a bit, and it stinks. I know it's supposed to smell a bit, but this is gross. He has no fever. There is no discharge or swelling or redness. Everything looks fine, but it just smells bad. Is this normal?
