Tammy - it is officially folliculitis on his diagnosis - but I work for 5 dermatologists....folliculitis is another form of acne in my world since they use the same drugs to treat it. I've been using some watered down clearasil on his cheeks/nose nightly and its clearing up. (didn't feel the need to put him on antibiotics cause it is mild.)

WTG, Krazy!!! That is wonderful, Linda! Hope his acne clears!!!

It doesn't take a very strong person to carry a grudge!

Married nearly 22 years. We are blessed with 4 children and 2 angel babies. My sweetheart says I look quite good for having had 6 children! :-) He is a keeper!

Wow! Great swimming skills :) Can't believe they won't let him go up to the next class yet.

Acne? Is it on his face? Seriously in all my years in Peds I never saw a 4yr old diagnosed with acne. How many spots? My thoughts would turn to folliculitis, especially with him swimming a lot. Maybe that's what she's referring to as the acne.

well at least it isn't chicken pox...but poor guy it's bad enough getting acne as a teenager but 4 seems way too young!

YAY for swimming!!! I understand why they wont let him take the next level until he's older... that happened to me when I was little and I was just too small and not old enough developmentally to do what they needed me to do to pass... they let me take the class anyways and I failed 'red' 3 times... way to boost a 4 yo's self esteem *sarcasm*... I like the way you guys are going about keeping him in lessons and encouraging his awesomeness in swimming!

Boo for chicken pox! Thank goodness it's mild :).

Yeah for swimming! It is the same here in our city...after the preschool program you need to be 6 for the next lessons.

Sorry about the chicken pox....hope you have had them already.

Boo to Chicken pox. Just out of curiosity, did he get the vaccine? I'm just curious because #1 and #2 are vaccinated, but I was arguing with DH about vaccinating #3 against it. I wish it were an all or nothing vaccine, and not the "kind of works" one it is.

That's great about the swimming - how strange that he can't take the next class.

Hope the mild case of chickenpox doesn't bother him too much - at least it'll be all over and done with by Christmas!

Kristopher graduated out of the preschool swim class! Unfortunately he isn't eligible for the next swim class up until he is 6 so we will be doing a private lesson with her once a week and he and I will be working on what she teaches him once a week. But I am happy my little guy is doing so well. It means I don't have to have a major heart attack everytime he leaves my sight in a pool - just a minor one.

Bad stuff...
I think he has a mild case of the chicken pox.
