hm i dont know if i have that problem. i have been having issues with getting my soap dispenser to open. i use the cascade or electrosol and the door sometimes stays shut. it drives me nuts cuz i have re wash half of the stuff, now i have to admit i do wash spaghetti stuff in there with stuff but i never have as much of a problem except with my highchair tray. it's the only thing that seems to turn red and i wipe it off with a clorox wipe or in the sink... i might have to see about some tang or something next pay day.

Lemon Kool-aid (no sugar. It will even get tomato sauce stains off tupperware if you happen to wash it with spaghetti sauce! I don't know if it will improve the function of the dishwasher, but it does clean the stains off the insides.
Is everyone gone yet? If so, WHAT ARE YOU DOING????? Don't CLEAN!!!!! Relax instead!

We use crysatl clear as well, and still a horrible build-up. I'm gonna try tang-I actually think we have some!!
Never seen pink mold in there though? Whats that about??

oh yeah, we use i think it's called "crystal clear" in ours. it's the cascade version of jet dry. our dishes get no build-up, but we still have the pink mold around the rubber seal. i clean it with a rag once in awhile.

I use Tang in the detergent dispenser for a cycle (with no dishes unless you have something you want to clean grease off of like stove grates or whatever you call them). I know it is strage but it does get grime and build up off the inside of the dishwasher...the same idea a citrus cleaner but it doesn't cause suds.

I tried vinegar but I think I did it wrong. Our dishwasher is getting a lot of pink mold growing on the door and probably the inside too. I wish it did wash out when running the dishwasher! Yesterday I finally scrubbed down the whole inside with the sponge and dishsoap. If I don't open the door right after washing the dishes it smells all moldy. I want a new dishwasher!!

There is also a little door somewhere in the dishwasher door that collects the food particles that you can pull out and clean. I can't remember where it is though. I read about that in Reader's Digest a couple years ago.

I wonder this too, we also have never done this-but my dishes are starting to get a build-up that is hard to get rid of. Any suggestions on that? I keep having to re-wash them in the sink.
Whats the point of even having one??

Doesn't it get clean every time you wash dishes?
