I've always been able to tell when I'm ovulating (that's why we got prego on the first try!) the discharge looks like raw egg whites and the cramping you have is called "mittelschmertz". Most women cannot feel when they're ovulating, but a small percentage of women have this pain when the egg is trying to release. At first when I found out what this pain was, I said to myself "of course, I have to be in that small % that has the pain"! I hated it because the cramping sometimes hurts way worse than period cramps. But, then I saw the upside of it and thought to myself how lucky I am because I know tons of women who have trouble getting prego because they have no clue when they're ovulating. Sorry for the drawn out post, just thought I'd share what info I knwo on the subject!
After being on the pill for the past 15+ years, i was concerned when I started having this discharge. I would descibe it as clear snot! But I have concluded that everyone here is correct. Ovulation is back.

Defininetly ovulating...I remember the first time I saw that stuff. I found it while wiping (tmi). Funny thing Dr. says that's nature's way of lubrication. Our bodies are facinating, huh?

some people say IUDs are non-hormone, but my OB told me they do have a low level of estrogen only, so i imagine you could still ovulate, but then that almost doesn't make sense since the point of contraception is to prevent pg... don't know on that one!

sounds like ovulation to me too... if by slimy you mean really slippery, that's the best indicator of ovulation.... use protection if you're having sex and don't want to get pg!!!!
