I have a very unusual middle name. It only comes up if I bring it up. I'm really proud of it, because I'm the 5th generation with that name, so I did tell it to people (in fact, in high school a lot of my friends called me by my middle name. In a totally nice way, of course, not teasing). But I'd say go for it...Jolie is easy to pronounce, so I think you'll be fine.

We have had two miscarriages, and two healthy babies.

Excited for baby #3!

I love the name Jolie! I think the middle name is fine, especially if your fam is okay with it. Very rarely do you use middle names... Graduation, marriages etc. If you daughter doesn't like it... she can change it. :)

I love it. I don't know why people are saying it's hard to pronounce the middle name- took a read through for me, but then was easy. Very pretty and strong name :)

I agree that it if the middle name means a lot to you, go for it. I know a few people said that your child might be teased for it, but children make fun of names that are perfectly common anyway, and middle names rarely come up in conversation. The name might be difficult to fit on a passport application, but go ahead and use it if it's important to you.

I like names that have meanings. I think you should go with your original name. I agree with your mom that most people don't know middle names. I think Jolie is really pretty. I'm not 100% sure how to pronounce the middle name, but who cares? Go with what you love and ignore the critics.

to the lady below me, i suggested i use BOTH names. jolie as first, and CAMATKARA as the middle.

I am also considering
Jolie Arabella

but dont like that arabella means prayerful as i am not religious. at all.

I like the name.
I like the more uncommon and I like that it has meaning to you.
Your middle name is rarely used so even if it was a name that someone would pick with, the wouldn't even hear it to pick with it. I don't find anything wrong with it so personally, I don't see how someone would pick on that name.

I am currently 22 weeks along with my 4th daughter!! I am in school full time and recently took a Psychology Human development class. Long story short, I learned so much about myself, that I decided I was going to name this child after my childhood babysitter. Elizabeth Marie. We called her Betsy, but she was like a m om to me and I loved and STILL love her today! She is a wonderful woman and I am pround to be naming my child after her. I can wait to meet this little bundle!

I say if you like it go for it. You are right that a middle name doesnt get used often and you can always go just by an initial. I think that Jolie is very pretty and the middle name I have never heard of but I am American and think that if it holds something spercial for you that you should use it. Good luck.
