So I got another appointment with a new doctor, recommended by a friend. She's had two pregnancies with him and thinks he's great! I hope so. I informed the appointment clerk of my situation and what had happened. She had me in as a follow up, told me to go to the ER if I have any problems in the mean time. I am still treating my body as if I'm still carrying, just in case. They scheduled me for an U/S as well. I made a formal complaint on the previous doctor as well. Hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst.
Thank you all for your support!

I am so sorry for your loss and even more sorry for the way you were treated by the doctor. That is just rediculous. I had issues with an ER doc when I went in on follow up instrustions... I was further along (12 weeks when I actually miscarried, but the fetus only measured 9 weeks) and I had a lot of bleeding (several overnite pads in one hour) when the actual miscarriage started. I had several days of spotting leading up to that. It took 3 weeks from when growth stopped for the miscarriage to happen.

Your best bet is going to be the new doctor. They will most likely do bloodwork, and if they don't offer the internal ultrasound to confirm, I would definitely request it.

I am sorry you are going through all this, I hope you can get some answers soon! Good luck!

The only way to really tell if you have m/c that early would to have blood work taken over a period of time and maybe an internal u/s. Am so sorry for your loss and wishing you sticky baby dust for the future

I can honestly say that I know what you are going through. My mc was not confirmed through my specialist an hour away, but by a rude nurse that told me I was in the process of mc. That he would call me back. I was cramping and bleeding. Two days later I had a mental break, went to our Urgent Care clinic where the week before they celebrated my positive results with me. They were wonderful and help set me up with on OB in our town, that only takes pregger patients. She has been my DR. ever since. She was wonderful, got me in less than 24 hours and was reassuring testing and making sure that I didn't need a D&C. She was there for anything that I needed. That jerk that was the specialist did my tubal reversal and could have cared less if it was even eptopic. He was the worst Dr. I have ever encountered.

I am so sorry for your loss, your body may be absorbing your baby since you were so early. Especially if your hormone levels are dropping. That may also be why you are only having mild cramping and light bleeding. I have been where you are and it was hard. Wishing you a better Dr. and sticky dust for the future.

Good Luck, God Bless

Okay, where to start. My doctor sucks, and I'm looking for answers. I have to wait until Monday to set up an appointment elsewhere. When I first took my home pregnancy test, I was bleeding lightly. I thought for sure it would be negative, but it wasn't. I made an appointment with the first doctor on my network that I could get a hold of and see ASAP. They wouldn't due the pelvic exam since there was some blood involved, so they sent me for some blood work and scheduled me for an U/S. I came back for the U/S and this inhumane doctor walks in talking to the nurse saying, "it looks like she's having a miscarriage," then just looked at me expectantly! He then shut the door on the nurse and said that I was RH negative and my hormone levels are low. That I was probably finishing my miscarriage before I came in. He proceeded to tell me I needed an RH shot and he would send someone in with it. No one explained anything to me. When I asked if there was any special instructions I needed to know or what to expect, the doctor told me that he would speak to me about it when I came back in two weeks for my follow-up, then left the room!
Being 6weeks along, shouldn't there be more blood and tissue involved? And there was only intermittent mild cramping on one day.
I never had an ultrasound to confirm.
Never got any answers, I'm sad about the loss, but extremely upset about the way my doctor treated me and handled the situation.
I'm not saying that I am still pregnant, but I would like some closure!
