My hcg is still at 72 and I'm 14 weeks post d&c. Definately get some bloodwork done and follow it down to 0. Thats what I'm doing.

I believe that if your HCG is above 20 then you can test positive. It took me FOREVER for my HCG levels to drop last m/c...about 12 weeks! I had 2 AF in that time. No one knows why it took that long but it did! If you are concerned go and get a couple of blood tests to see what the numbers do.

I would definitely keep in touch with your doc about things. Since my D&E July 8th, I've had to go get blood drawn once a week until hCG is below 5 because the pathology came back with some indications of a molar pregnancy.

I had a + HPT about 5 weeks after my d&c. Her name is Rhiannon and she's 4 now.

When I had my ectopic - it took a really long time for the hcg to drop. I've lost 3x times now - each time has been different as far as how fast the hcg dropped. Good luck and God Bless!!

I think normally it can take up to 10 weeks, but ideally it should be to 0 within 3 weeks or so.

I don't want to freak you out, but be sure your doctor continues to monitor you. I had a D&C 13 weeks ago. My hcg is stuck at 400. Had an u/s this week and found out they must have missed some material during the proceedure and it has now grown to golfball size. I am going to try the med Cytotec next week to get it to pass naturally, but if that doesn't work I'll need another D&C. This has been a nightmare for me, and such a long drawn out affair. Again, I don't mean to scare you but just encourage you to keep asking questions and stay on your doctor until your get hcg's down! Good Luck to you.

Missed m/c April 2008, 10w.

Did you go for your follow after your D&C? What were your levels then? I had a positive HPT about 6 weeks after my D&C, but it was a very, very faint positive. I had my AF 2 weeks after that. But I have read other posts on a different boards where the girls got pregnant 2 weeks after a D&C, so you never know.

Good luck, I hope everything turns out the way you want!! Keep us posted.

I have a miscarriage and D&C when I was about 6-7 weeks along. It has been almost 6 weeks now since the D&C. I took a pregnancy test this morning and it was positive. Could my HCG levels still be high from the miscarriage. I called my Dr. and he is going to check my HCG levels with a blood test. Has anyone else had this same experience?
