Trisha.Joseph I also had complications with my D&C. I found out at 13 wks that my baby had died at 11 wks, I had a D&C the following day. 5 days later I had heavy bleeding and clotting, went in to the er for an ultrasound and bl work, they found that there was still tissue with blood supply and that my hormones hadn't dropped. So in for the 2nd D&C I went. One week after this I had my follow up with the ob/gyn and b/c I was still bleeding minimally she put me on antiboitics d/t a possible uterine infection. I can understand a bit of what you are going through. It's really hard to begin to heal emotionally when you have to continue to deal with the physical. I just wanted it to be over with, I'm sure you do as well. I would try to make another appt with you ob/gyn and if you can't get into see her soon enough run some questions by you family doc. Hope this helps. Good luck to you and so sorry for you loss.

Is there anyone out there who had a D&C and then had complications? I had mine two weeks ago, and just went in for my follow-up today. I'm still spotting a little bit (we're talking a very mininmal amount), but have had some pain. When she did my exam I had some major pain on the right hand side. She said that this could either be a cyst or matter they missed in the D&C. Has anyone had this happen.
It just really throws me for a loop. Just when I was finally able to get through a day without crying this crap comes along and knocks me on my butt again. To top things off, the hospital they referred me to for the gyno sonogram can't fit me in until June 5th. Shouldn't we figure out what this is now?
She also left me with tons of questions. So sex is a no-go, but what about exercise? Should I still be expecting AF a few weeks from now? Their office is closed for the day, but I wish doctors didn't rush out so quickly during appointments.
Anyway, any info on a similar experience would be helpful.
