He was really freaked out after I told him that I got pregnant. He did not want me to have the baby but since I'm 32, established and mature enough...I thought that I should give the baby a chance at life...sigh...
Anyways, he and I still talk once in a while and I just told him about the MC. While the encounter was good and we get along...I don't think he want any more encounters for fear that I'm too fertile or that we're both too fertile...lol. Oh well, if I ever want to get pregnant on purpose...I would know where to borrow some...

Hey Lisa,
You will hate me...lol...Unfortunately it was my first MC and I did not even try at all. All it took was one encounter with this guy that I was dating. It was completely unplanned but I was ready to accept whatever life offers me and make the best out of it. While I am sad, I know that it is not meant to be. At least for now.
Keep trying and have fun while doing it :)

Hi Lola,
I hope you feel better soon - honestly it took me a good few weeks to get better and back on track. Was this your first MC? How long have you been trying for? Are you going to TTC again soon or have a break?

Hi Lola, I had a D&C May 17, 2006 after finding out at 12 weeks that my baby had no heartbeat and hadn't developed on past 7 weeks. I bled for a good week and I found even after that week if I over did it with workout or excerise and gardening that I would start bleeding again. I did though get an infection and was put on antibiotics - also the antibiotics gave me thrush - so I must admit I had a crappy time after my D&C. I then got a period 37 days after MC and since then all has been well. I honestly didn't have sex until after my first period, but it was only because I felt crap and with the thrush and all it was the last thing on my mind. Anyway now that I have had 1 cycle I am back on the charting track to pinpoint ovulation to start again. I am nervous though about getting pregnant again incase MC occurs again, but when you read the stats 1 in 4 end in MC and majority of them are 1st time pregnancies. I still after 1 MC have an 80% chance of having a live baby - even after 3 MC chance of 70%. As I am 35 I feel I can't waste time as it's already taken me 6 years to get pregnant - now that I've done it once hopefully it will get easier.
Well I wish everyone out there the best of luck and hope all your dreams come true.

My doctor told me not to have sex for 4 weeks. I took that to mean intercourse. I was also advised not to use tampons. This goes along with the intercourse issue...you don't want an infection. The nurse also told me that heavy lifting or vigorous exercise could increase the post d & c bleeding. I have also read that you should avoid taking baths or going into hot tubs (though I do admit I was in my hot tub for about 20 minutes the other night).

I had my d and c on May 9th. I think I had sex about 2 weeks later. But every other kind of "sex" is o.k. You might not want to masturbate though, I was pretty swollen down there. You should be o.k. to resume exercise after about 4-5 days. I wouldn't do anything to strenous though. Good luck with everything, and I am sorry you have to go through this.
My angel went to heaven on May 9th, 2006. Always missed, forever in our hearts.

I had a D&C 2 days ago after finding out that the fetus did not have a heart beat and have stop growing.
I've read that I should not have sex, take a bath or go swimming for about 2 weeks. What I need advice on are:
-What does "sex" really mean? Does it include intercourse, oral sex, masturbation? -When can I start excercising again? -What are any other things to really watch out for?
