Glad to hear that you're feeling better - good luck with the company! Hopefully it's all family that you get along with. The other kind would be a lot of work at this point...

Have fun on that date! I love to go on dates with DH, and we don't even have anyone to get away from yet. I imagine that with someone to leave behind, that time becomes even more special.

Thank you all so much. I am finally feeling better physically today. Yesterday was not a good day because I still had leftover cramping and I didn't want to take the strong pain meds because they mess with my intestines. We were also trying to clean house because my MIL and other relatives are coming for a visit they planned months ago. However I finally had a good night's rest so I am in much better spirits to deal with the company. DH and I are also planning to have a date tonight and leave our son with my MIL. It is definitely the high point of the past two weeks! I go to see my Dr on Monday so I will get the scoop on sex, tampons, exercise etc for my case, but I think I might try a modified yoga routine today because I know it will make me feel good. I'll just avoid the bends and inverted poses like you suggested. Thanks again. I am so glad I found you all!!!!

i excercise all the time and i was when i was pregnant, although alot "lighter" workouts when i was pregnant. when i had my d&c i was on "pelvic rest" for 2 weeks, no heavy lifting,no bending at the waist esp to pick anything up(which most of the time cant be avoided!) no intercourse, no swimming, ect...
at my 2 weeks check up, my dr said i was ok to work out and everything but i wouldnt over do it. but in your case, if yoga is all you want to do, that doesnt involve heavy weights and ALOT of aerobic activity. i think you would be fine. in yoga you do bend at the waist alot, but im not really sure if thats one you have to be careful not to do, b/c to sit down and pee you "bend at the waist". so i think if you are feeling up to it, just do some poses and exercises that you know arent too much for your body. just listen to your body, it'll tell you what to do:-)
and im very sorry for your loss. mine was going on 2 months ago and i still long for my baby back and another one! you are in my prayers and you couldnt be surrounded by a better group of girls that know how you feel and know how to encourage you!
God bless you!

had my little precious boy, Joshua John Jr., on Monday, July 3 at 2:21 pm. he was 7 lbs. 11 oz. and was 21 1/4 inches.

My doctor told me no heavy lifting of any kind until at least 6 weeks after my D & C and no streneous exercise either! She said I could go for walks that was about it. I had some complications as well, kept bleeding and they had to give me pictocin and manually massage my uterus to make it stop. Your body has been through a lot with m/cing as well as D&C. I wouldn't over do it!

I didn't have any complecations, and I think that I may have exercised that very day, just a little. My D&C was early in the morning, and whatever the reason, after a nap, I had a fabulous afternoon/evening. Starting the next day, I really kicked up the exercise: decided that I want an "athlete" body, so I decided that I need to act like an athlete...

Anyway, if you're having complecations & you're not sure when you can exercise, then maybe you should call & see what the nurse has to say about it. My guess is that as long as you mind the restrictions you usually do during AF (my video says no inverted poses, I think - been a while since I've had AF & had to think about it) that it'd probably good for you. But I'm no kind of professional.

The doctor did not tell me how long to wait, but apparently I didn't have as hard of a time as you. I started exercising the next day. I teach aerobics and had to go back to work. I only remember bleeding for three or four days the first day being the only heavy day. I am sorry for your loss and I hope you feel better. Take it easy. Most importantly listen to your body.

I had a D&C last week and am having a tough recovery. Today she put me on meds because I still have some blood in the uterus. I am feeling stiff and I know a good yoga session would do my body and soul some good. I know today would not be the best day to start exercising again, because of the cramping, but did the Drs tell any of you when you could exercise again?
