Military Sicily

I know there are already a few posts on here about this but thought I'd make a new one.

We are thinking about going to Sicily (stationed through the Navy)... I want to be 100% sure before my husband puts in the orders... we have a little dog, a 2 year old girl & a semi-new nissan titan truck... will we have any problems with any of these three in Sicily? About the truck... will we have to get rid of it, or can we take it with us? & are the roads too small to have a truck over there? & what about insurance? How is gas? Are the regular gas stations like there are in the US? Totally new to living in a new country!
