JOHANNACHRISDOG- OMGosh!!! 84 lbs?!?! That's incredible. I've never done WW but I have done calorie counting, so I'm going to stick with that. I think as long as you are tracking what you eat and stay within a healthy limit you will lose. I hope so anyway. Do you know how many calories are added to the BF WW plan? At this point I'm planning on staying with my pregnancy calorie range and adjusting from there.

Are you familiar w/ ww points system? The Breasfeeding plan simply adds points to your daily value just like you would add calories when you are nursing compared to your normal diet. If you go to weight watchers website you may be able to find the points layout there.

I don't know if you are still checking this post, but I just ran across it. I had gained 67 lbs with my daughter and was really worried about getting the weight off. I did the Weight Watchers breast feeding plan and lost 84 lbs. It's doable!

Thanks so much for sharing your successes! You have really encouraged me. I'm hoping to be back to prepreg wt by 3 mos PP, and I would like to lose another 30 lbs after that. Your stories make it sound like this is actually a possibility! I've never met anyone IRL who got below prepreg wt. All the people I know either keep the wt or got back to their prepreg wt but not under.

i wish that could happen to me...lol. I worked my butt off to lose my 40 lbs i gained, and I nursed. I lost 25 right away, and it took me 11 months to lose the rest. This time I am hoping its different. I know that I will still gain probably about 40 lbs again. But i think my problem was it was hard for me to eat the required amount of calories with healthy foods, so i threw junk in there to get to where i needed to be. But i was a running fool.

KGUYTON- I am so inspired by stories like yours. All you ever hear is how hard it is to loose weight after pregnancy and it is discouraging. Did you exercise at all to lose the weight? I am planning on BF and hope that my body goes into that "weight loss mode" like yours and others on here. The rate I'm going it looks like I will gain about 35lbs easily. I do eat healthy and exercise (I'm a fitness instructor). I am hoping and praying I have luck like yours!
P.S. How tall are you? 97lbs is tiny!!

I am well under my PP weight and I thank bf for that! I couldn't get the weight to budge before I got pregnant. Then during the pregnancy I actually lost weight during the 1st trimester, gained 2nd and 3rd trimesters. Since I delivered Kyra I've been steadily loosing. I lost all my pregnancy weight and fell below my PP weight. Granted I still have a lot to loose, but I'm thrilled with how quickly the weight is dropping while breast feeding my DD.
Son, Trei Alexander, 2/16/96, 8lbs 9.5oz & 21.5" long, completely drug free
Daughter, Kyra Lillian, 11/29/07, 8lbs 11oz & 22.5" long, needed Pitocin to get contractions going after water broke, but otherwise drug free

Runningmama...that's so encouraging to hear about your WW experience...I'm due with my 2nd dd in about 2 wks and want to do it right this time with wt loss...i really want to do ww, but i hate the counting aspect of it...is there another way of approaching it without the points system....if so, can you tell me more??? or anyone for that matter???
also what was your workout regime like? i think i am only going to bf for about 6wks, if i last that long bc i have a little stinker 17mo old that is very clingy, so i don't think it will last long...plus i feel like the bf-ing actually KEPT wt on me! any info would be great! thanks...oh, i have about 35-40 #s to lose

Well, I had my DS in August and started WW in October. I lost about 2 pounds a week while I was doing it....the problem is, I'm very inconsistent and I stopped really doing it once the holidays rolled around. So I picked up again around March and lost at the same pace. Got about 3 pounds away from my goal and then had a little too much fun in the summer. So I did Core in the fall and it fell off....but at that point it was only about 5-7 pounds I needed to lose. If i would have just done it consistently from the beginning, I really think I would have lost all the weight by january. I just didn't care enough I guess....until my high school reunion rolled around - then I cared LOL.

For me it was kind of the same. I lost at the same rate doing the same things. I'm also a WW fan and find it to be the easiest way. I switched to Core to get the last 10 (after losing 35 pounds) and it worked like a charm.

I am also interested to find out if it is harder or easier to loose weight post pregnancy. I lost over 80lbs before I became pregnant and found it was fairly easy. I learned how to eat right and changed my lifestyle with weight watchers. I would highly recommend the program to anyone. It is not a diet. I can not help you with your post pregnancy answers since this is my 1st pregnancy. But I do hope more ladies share their thoughts.

I also lost more than my pregnancy weight PP. I found it very easy but I never tried to loose weight before then. I gained 40 pounds when I was pregnant since I was considered underweight and lost it all plus a few in less than two months. Unfortunately I kept loosing until I was below 90 lbs! I'm back up to a healthier weight now and wouldn't suggest doing what I did...

I guess that is what I wanted to know... is it any easier PP. I have PCOS so I had to fight for every pound I lost pre preg. Glad to know at least one person has done it! Has anyone else?

Who here has not only lost their preggo weight but gone beyond that to lose more? Did you find it easier or more difficult then losing weight pre preg? I had about 30 lbs to lose before I got pregnant, so I will have that as well as my preggo weight to lose and I'm just looking for some tips. Thanks!
