I sure understand the insurance issue. I do know there are ways to get help even if you're not insured, and many PT clinics do some work on a sliding scale, much reduced cost.
I just don't want you to wait too long-the earlier you get treatment the better. If you need help in finding alternatives for care when uninsured please feel free to Mommymail me and we can explore what's available in your area. Cathy

thanks for the advice. i kind of figured I should go in and have this checked out. The only problem right now is I don't have health insurance and we are tight on funds becaus dh works seasonally and i'm staying at home with LO. I've been trying to remember to do kegels as much as possible. On the bright side, I had a soccer game last night and it wasn't as bad this time.

I just want to underscore Tanya's advice to see your doctor about this issue. It's not normal for a woman to continue to have incontinence problems at 7 months PP and you need to see what's causing this problem. There are physical therapists who specialize in postpartum incontinence treatment, so after you get a diagnosis from your doctor you should ask for a referral to PT. Another thing, if you'd like to find a PT specialist in your area just Mommymail me and I can look up PTs in your zip code.
Don't continue to suffer through this-the faster you treat your incontinence the faster you'll be exercising without worry! This is treatable so don't worry this is going to be an ongoing problem for the rest of your life. Cathy

I definitely think you should contact your Dr. Be sure you are doing Kegel's regularly throughout the day but talk with them about a possible referral to a urologist to help with the situation.

As parents you establish the teaching, training and expectations for your child in the first 7 years of their life. After that you live out what you set up.
