Its raining today, but yesterday was nice out. I planted a lot of trees in the last week, so I've trying to water them and hoping it doesn't freeze again.
Monday: 45 min elliptical, lunges, leg exercises, abs Tuesday: 45 min elliptical, biceps, triceps, straight arm lifts, 20 pushups
I'm coming down with a cold...at least I think it is a cold, DH went to the doctor today and has strep. I don't think that's what I have, but I'm going to rest for a few days and hopefully, will be able to get rid of this.

You are doing such a great job keeping consistent with your fitness!! I love push ups-they're such a great way to hit lots of muscles and they really help give definition to your arms and back.
I'd love to go to Venice some day. I was in the Tuscany region-from Florence to Rome. What a wonderful country and such lovely people! Cathy

Oh, I loved Venice! I went a few years ago with a couple of friends. Someday, when LOs are older, DH and I are going back. We always go to the mountains (usually CO) for vacations...which I love too, but it would be nice to travel abroad again.
Sunday: 45 min elliptical, some abs, 20 pushups
Monday: 30 min elliptical, interval level 7, abs, leg exercises, lunges (I actually did this workout at 9:00 pm, but my brother stopped by unexpectedly so LOs didn't take their usual nap...DH thought I was nuts!)

We're starting to...it's been in the 60's for a couple of days. Our problem here is the wind. Yesterday, I went for a walk and it about blew me over, but I love being outside with the fresh air.
I noticed your bike on your vacation pic. Do you bike often on vacations?

Take it slow getting back into your exercise routine after the flu. Your body is probably dehydrated and you're going to feel fairly weak for a few days. Try sipping some sports drink diluted with water to help replace electrolytes lost during your illness. Hope you continue to feel better! Cathy

Finally, I feel like myself again today...I ended have the stomach bug for 4 days instead of 1. I lost 4 pounds too, but I'm guessing that's more water weight and muscle. I actually tried working out today, but not my usual intensity. I feel like a big pile of mush!

I ended up doing 40 pushups...not easy for me to do. DH was laughing hysterically because he said it looked like I was doing the "worm breakdance" My form is so wonderful...not.
He offered to throw ours out too, but I think I'll just take it to church tomorrow.

If it continues to make noise you may need to check the bolts and see if anything is loose. Usually there's a number you can call with troubleshooting help-check out the instruction book to see if your elliptical company provides help with your machine. Cathy

Its still working, but squeaking a lot more which is a little annoying. DH tried to oil it and that helped a little. We just bought it in early December so I'm hoping it doesn't fall apart on me, considering the amount we paid for it.

No, I wish I did, but I traveled on Saturday and Sunday I wasn't feeling well. I'm going to try for 6 six days of workouts this week, especially with Sun being Easter. We're leaving Sat morning to be with family, but I'm going to try to sneak in a workout before we go.
Monday: elliptical: 45 min level 7, lunges set of 20 - 10 lb, ab exercises, leg exercises Tuesday: elliptical: 40 min level 7, biceps, triceps, straight arm lift set of 20 with 10 lb
I think I inspired DH. He started working out last week again on my elliptical, but he's knocked it off the track twice LOL!

My weights are in my bedroom too along with my elliptical. I don't know if I'm coordinated enough to lift weights while I'm brushing my teeth. LOL! For me it would be like patting my head and rubbing my tummy! :o) I'll try to work on those at other times though. I need to get another resistance band since that's what PT reccommended, but mine got lost in the move.

You don't have to do all your strength training exercises at once. I will do bicep curls when I'm brushing my teeth (one hand with the toothbrush the other with the weight!) or whenever I can fit one in. I leave my weights and resistance band in my bedroom so I have easy access to them. Cathy

I actually have weights, 2's,3's, 5's, and 10's, but I'm having trouble fitting it in. I like to workout when my 14 month old is taking a nap and sometimes he sleeps longer than others, but I'm still trying. I know I need some strength training, especially with my bad knee (I've had an ACL replacement and scar tissue removal surgeries), so I try to fit in lunges, squats, etc. I'm trying to adjust to hand weights instead of the machines at the gym since I don't belong to one anymore.
I'll check out those exercises. Thanks Cathy!
