Brewers yeast or nutrional yeast - both are good for you and nutrional yeast is sometimes called brewers yeast. Nutritional yeast has a parmesean cheese flavor - and tastes better with savory type foods. I love it with popcrn - buttered popcorn is best. I've added it to eggs - doesn't tasted as good as cheese - but tastes good. I've heard you can do it with pasta or rice.

But you might want to confirm that nutritional yeast has the same benefits to breastmilk at brewers yeast. I am pretty sure it does at nutrional yeast is chalked up with lots of good stuff.

I buy the flakes over the powder - as I heard it is better.

No advice here but boy they sound good!. I've never tried those cookies. I heard years back that yeast was good for milk supply though. So with my first 2 once in awhile I would drink one very dark beer. Usually a Guiness or something like that. I swear it really helped my milk supply. I also will eat a lot of oatmeal when my supply needs a boost. Both aren't too high in calories. I believe one guiness only has 125 calories. Good luck. Hope you find a good recipe!

I've had the more milk cookies with the brewers yeast, oats, and flaxseed meal and they are so good I swear I'm addicted to them. That's the problem, I've put on 5lbs since I started eating them. I can easily go through 10-12 in a day. Not only is that bad for my waistline but not so good for the wallet either when I keep having to buy more ingredients. I just tried to make a shake from a recipe I found on here but it tasted horrid. Any one know of any other way to get this stuff in without the nastiness (I even tried adding chocolate flavored whey powder to it once I found out what it tasted like).
