This happened with me too. With my first daughter. She nursed till she was over 2 and a half and I remember that starting around 15 to 18months too. For some reason, I just didn't want them touched by anyone. I didn't want my huband or my daughter touching them at all. I never researched it to see if it was normal, but now I'm glad to hear I wasn't the only one. I guess it is pretty normal.

My daughter is only 1 year old,but I have had bouts of hard nipples.
Throughout my nursing relationship, I don't mind when my daughter nurses, but I don't like her playing with my nipple, nor do I like my hubby if he touches them.
It's weird to me since I have a baby constantly suckling on them. I think it's because Your mind is hard-wired for breastfeeding, that they are for feeding, not for "play" in any sense of the word (for DH lol).

Is it normal for nipples to be hard all of the time and a little tender to touch. My nipples don't feel sore - they aren't cracked or anything, but whenever DH or now daughter attempt to touch my nipples, I quickly move their hand away. I have since touched them on my own, and they are just sensitive to touch, but otherwise don't bother me. Is this normal? My daughter is almos 15 mo old. She nurses a 3-5 times a day.
