Thanks u guys for your advice! U are right I know breastfeeding is the best for my baby. I have 3 other children that I didn't breastfeed and I regret it. I do love doing it but I was gaining weight instead of losing like everyone said would happen but I realized I was eating way to much of the wrong foods. So I changed my diet and I have lost 5 pounds already! Now my only issue is how to get my daughter to drink my milk from a bottle so I can go back to work lol

dont quit! Im sorry to say it but thats a selfish reason to quit.Nursing is the best thing for your baby and for you, Im sorry if I sounded mean I dont meant to. For my daughter(baby no.1)I weight 200lbs when i went into delivery, then i was soo chunkty monkey i felt horrible and i wasnt even sure I was going to breastfeed her but my mom convinced me because she breastfed my sister and I, I was very good at it even though the first month was such a pain!! but a few months into it I wasnt exercising just walking down to my farmers market and walks here and there. I will say that after 6 months my tummy was looking good and i had lost 30 pounds and i say i owe it to breastfeeding . My doc also said it helps your uterus go back to its normal size again another perk was no period for about a year and did I mention that i never had to buy formula saved big bucks there but you also have to get comfortable with nursing in public. not exposing yourself but with a cover on =). Now for the baby's benefits I read somewhere that it helps prevent allergies and its packed with disease-fighting substances that protect your baby from illness, think about it really do your research. if you wanna lose weight all you gotta do is work out and not decrease your calorie intake but replace junk food calories with good calories . Good Luck

Breastfeeding IS the best way to take off the weight while also providing a nutritious and economical way to feed your baby. Restrictions are not advised to loose weight while breastfeeding since you need 500 calories MORE than you do when you aren't (300 from pregnancy and then another 200 on top of that). When you don't eat enough you encourage your body to hold on to maternal fat stores for energy instead of using them as well as run the risk of limiting your milk production. Please review this article and then let us know what additional questions you have before you decide to give up breastfeeding.

As parents you establish the teaching, training and expectations for your child in the first 7 years of their life. After that you live out what you set up.

I am ready to quit breastfeeding my baby so i can focus on getting off all the weight i gained while pregnant. I dont want to have any restrictions on what i can do. I am confused about what to do amd what is the best formula to give my daughter cause she is sensitive to dairy.
