Have you ever tried a latex nipple? I know they aren't popular but they are much softer and more natural feeling. I used the playtex drop ins(the wide kind) with a latex nipple after trying 4 different bottles with silicon nipples. Funny enough he eventually took a bottle but would only take it from me which isn't the common way to end up. Typically they only want the real thing from mom. My son actually would starve himself, he refused to eat while I was gone even after he started solids(no solids and no bottle). He screamed for 5 solid hours one of the times I left, not to scare you. I am also a sahm so it was never a major issue, just a bit difficult for my sanity. If I pushed I'm sure he would have eventually got use to it but I just couldn't do it since I didn't need to.

Stick with pumped breast milk at first, he may also be objecting to the taste of formula because it's very different.

What didn't work for us as far as bottles go is advent, dr browns, breast flow, and playtex with silicon.

One of my sons was like that. He never had a bottle. Luckily, I didn't need to work. Do have your care giver offer the bottles. You may need to try a few different ones before he finds one that's OK.

My son has the same bottle issues. We tried many bottles and he hated them all. I would come home for work 9 hours later and he would have drank only 4-6 oz (two or three 2-3 oz bottles). We were told to try NUK nipples, but I couldn't find them when I went out and ended up trying MAM bottles. He does a lot better on the MAM bottles... he will drink 3 bottles now between 4-6 oz each bottle. Not great, but a big improvement. Never ended up trying the NUK nipples, but I hear they help.
