after reading Carrie's post, that makes sense. I have to say "pocket full of posies" makes me think of the real meaning behind "ring around the rosy" - the black plague. that may just be me, though!
pastor's wife, breastfeeder, co-sleeper, English teacher, delayed-vaxer, baby-wearer, homebirther...
This will be my 3rd homebirth, 4th natural, 6th pregnancy, 5th live birth. It's a girl!

I agree with Carrie. Labor of Love is everywhere.

I like From Belly to Birth - it's not cheesy or corny.

there aren't already 25 other doulas with Labor of Love? Are you registering your name and getting a tax ID or LLC and full-fledged business name?
1. use something you can get the domain for (easier to be found, for people you meet to remember you), if at all possible. 2. use something that won't embarass you 12 years from now:) 3. use something original. Labor or Love and Blossoming Bellies are nice, but have been seen and done already (google it--i'm sorry if you didn't know), make sure it isn't in a neighboring town!! 4.orginality is also memorable. Use your name, your town, a family name, a flower name? 5. think of growing into the name. Since there in no money in being a doula alone (cost v. time and births shouldn't be scheduled, so unlike a Dr you will have a finite number you can handle); most also do other things that are related. Like photography, belly casing, placenta encapsulation, getting other related certifications...
goodluck to you.

Which catches your eye? I'm designing a fun, fresh website and I want to name my new doula business something that has the same feel. Here are a few we've been ideas we have been throwing around.
