Thanks for all your kind words everyone! But good news... just got back from my appointment with the ortho-surgeon-- after he reviewed the MRI... I do have a slight tear in my ACL.... but he was really happy with how quickly I am on my feet after a mere 3 weeks since the injury.... and after the exam too he was very happy.... so he said no surgery -- yeah!!!!

I just have to take it easy for a bit more... start light exercise and then work up to what I was doing before... he is going to check my progress in 6 weeks...
PHEW!!!!!!!!!

Sorry hun, let us know what you find out. Also see if maybe your parents might be willing to come over and help out for you. Don't rush into recovery.

Ok... have been downhill skiing.. has been a great winter for it -- but had abad fall afew weeks ago -- hurt my knee.... had an MRI last week and just found out that things aren't looking too good!! Yikes... although it is too early to tell right now... as there is stil lots of swelling.. but I do have a tear in my ACL.. which is what I was worried about.... still no guarantee as of yet whether I need surgery.. but DH had ACL surgery last year -- if you can believe it -- and it was NOT fun -- he was bed ridden for weeks and was in so much agony after the surgery.... I just don't want to have to go through that... esp. it would kill me if I could not pick up/hold/play with/run around with Annabel.

I am speculating right now as I still need to see the surgeon to be definite... but initial results from the MRI... is not looking too good.

I am so mad at myself....
