Activities this winter with LOs?

Ugh. I am so bad about stuff like this. I hate sports and am barely coordinated enough to walk and chew gum. I made a new Mom Friend recently and was a little shocked at how behind Leo was with stuff like bike riding and even running (he runs more like a girl than I do). I need to look into some sort of physical cordination type thing too. What is more broad spectrum? Gymnastics maybe?

Right now I have been taking him to a local gym for "preschool play hour" (open gym), to a local indoor playground, the mall play center thing, and a story time that is mostly about exercise. I don't know what else is out there w.out spending a lot of $.

My DH has been hounding me to get Ryan into ice skating, you know Wayne Gretsky has been skating since age 2, he always tells me. My son is not the most graceful person so I'm not sure if ice skating is the way to go, but that's what we will probably be doing.

We also have a youth soccer league in the area that takes 2-3 y/o and a kindermuzik program that I'd love to try but have no time because of work schedules.

Just wondering what activities you will be involving your LOs in this winter? (or even if you dont have winter!)

Last winter I enrolled Annabel in gymnastics... but she hated it ! I think she was just not ready at that age for a structured activity -- but I assume this year will be different... I know she loves to dance.. so am going to sign her up for ballet after christmas... and of course.. DH is so excited about all of us skiing together (alpine and x-country - although for x-country she will probably be in her sled!) this year... but that is probably enough for now.

Just wondering what others are doing???
