the adoption is still in process, but we should have her in our arms in the next 2-4 weeks! i'm just waiting on INS to give us the green light for travel and her visa approval then i can book our flight...its my mom and i traveling, ben and feona are staying home, my dad will stay with them to help out.... i'm excited to go on this adventure with my mom, its been ages since we've traveled alone together! i'm starting to lurk on the June 2008 board just to remind myself where developmentally we are kind of around again! its crazy how quickly we forget the stages!!!

MARCIPK- That's so exciting about the adoption. Did it go through? Friends of ours adopted two babies from Vietnam and brought them home in December. It almost did not happen b/c the Embassy lost their paperwork and Vietnam was not allowing adoptions anymore. But thankfully it all worked out. The babies were born two days apart so it's like having twins. The pictures of them picking up the babies made me cry so hard. I couldn't believe they have the birth parent there to give the baby away at the ceremony! Wow!

That is such great news.. congratulations!!!! I hope you get to see your new little girl soon!!
Fee sounds so much like Annabel -- the girl talks nonstop and is so funny... and can you believe she loves her seaweed salad too! She has almost mastered chopsticks as well!!!
Anyway.. great to hear from you.. keep us posted when you finally get your baby!!!

well seems as if a bunch of us who haven't posted that often are updating and thought i'd chime in!
feona is every bit a 2 year old right now...i think she spends more time in the timeout chair than out the last couple weeks. she's been in montessori for 2 months now and LOVES it!! she begs for it on the weekends too..she counts to 11 with ease and sings the abc song (which is completely adorable), the talking thing exploded over the last year... she's still in the 75% for height and 50% for weight, fav foods are still rice, tofu, and seaweed!
on another note...we have been trying to adopt from vietnam, so far i've had the gestation of an elephant!! we found out 2 months ago that we "have" a beautiful little girl waiting for us in Northern Vietnam...she is 3 1/2 months old with big brown eyes and the sweetest little mouth! we hope to travel to her in the next 3 months with any luck, but in the mean time she is being taken care of by wonderful caregivers in the orphanage!! so there ya have it in a nutshell! hope everyone is doing well! has anyone heard from abbey-n-sophie
