I was wondering if it could be something normal too. I know it has happened to Samantha too, but I never knew to be concerned about it. (it always passed) Now I will watch it though when she gets sick just in case...

Javier gets this sometimes. It always passes after a few poops. I was worried at first but I fund out its very common to have a light pale color poop.

while she was suffering with the diarrhea, did you have her on the BRAT diet? Bananas, rice/pasta, apples, toast? if so, all of those foods are light in color. My DD had a stomach virus for 3 days and ate the BRAT diet for 5. Her poop was just as you described. as soon as I started adding foods to her diet, it darkened up. I called the ped and they said it was ok as long as it darkened when I added foods. They also told me that if the light colored poop continued for more than 3 days after she was eating normally, to call back as this can be an indication that there is something wrong with the liver. don't want to scare you, just sharing my experience with the same illness/issue.

Brooke is recovering from a stomach virus - she's had watery diarrhea for nearly a week, but it is finally becoming more solid today. Here's my concern - it started out yellow and has become increasingly pale yellow - chalky looking.
Have any of you experienced this before? I'm concerned because I've read light/clay colored stool can be a sign of something serious. Any information would be appreciated - thank you!
