I talked to a lactation consultant about this. What they told me is you can do it if you pump every two to three hours religiously around the clock and also have your baby nurse inbetween. They said it would most likely never be a full supply again and it would be a lot of work, but most women can get some milk back. Once you start getting some milk start taking fenugreek, which can be bought at any health food store. This will help increase what supply you are getting.

I really considered doing this about a month ago because I was still wanting to nurse my little dude, even thought I was too sick when my little one was born. However, I was not able to commit to this.

The other piece of this would be to find a good lactation consultant that can give advice along the way. Good luck!!!!!!

I've heard of even adoptive parents being able to bf! There is a small hose attachment you can buy for a bottle. You imply put the bottle behind youuback and atach he ose to your nipple. When your little one sucks, they get milk from the tube while stimulating your milk supply. Good luck!

I think that you can but do not have experience with this. Try posting this in the breastfeeding forum under post pregnancy and parenting. there are lots of girls in there with tons of breastfeeding experience.

today after 12 weeks pp i saw some milk coming out of my nipple..it was a super small amount but i was wondering if i could bring it back to a full supply...
i let kaden suck for a few mins but nothing came out, maybe some yellow colostrom????? im just confused right now!
my lo was 6 weeks early and his sucking reflex was weak so i had to pump...then my milk just went away....even though i was pumping every 3 hrs..i got less and less.
Any thoughts?
