we used blue and white striped fabric for ours and stapled the fabric to the back of the letters and hung them from four pegs on a shelf. it doesn't look girly at all.

At Lowe's, HOme Depot etc in the department where they have all the chains on those big rolls they have different thickeness and weights...pick a lightweight chain and screw the different lengths into the backs of the frames and either have them hanging by "1 chain" or you can do it like the ribbon thing and hang them in a "v" type pattern and hook them onto cup hooks or something for a boyish look...I"ve done this with a friends baby boy room and it was sooo adorable...they did a train theme and it was adorable!

Yeah, I am planning on using ribbon...if I can ever stop procrastinating long enough to get my letters painted! But ribbon may be a little girly...but like lady said...you could use shoe string or chain link, that would be more masculine. Good luck!

i love the ribbon idea too. it would look really cute if you hang them to they were uneven (with the ribbons different lengths).

We hung wooden letters and flower appliques with mounting tape. It's like a strong foam double sided tape that you can get at hardware stores, or target, probably even the grocery store. Ours came out great. they say they hold five pounds of pressure each, but i don't know about that. But for small wooden letters they work perfectly!

You could either drill small holes in the back of each letter, being careful not to drill all the way through the letter, or if you go to Home Depot or Lowes, you can buy these little picture hangers. They look like what you probably have on the back of the pictures you have hung in your home (little metal rectangular piece, with a hole on either end and one of the long sides is jagged - that's the best way I can describe it).

I just painted wooden letters for our nursery but noticed they have no hardware on the back to hang them up. Any ideas??? Thanks! Lindsay
