almost 2 yr old slapping & kicking

Issy is also big on the slapping thing. She mostly does it to dh but also to me when she's upset with me. I gently hold her hand down, remind her to be gentle and not not to hit people. If she continues, I count one, two, and then three. She's learned to stop at two. Usually. Since she's too young to really understand time outs, if she gets to three, we put her down and stop playing with her or whatever for a minute or so. This always works. I don't think ignoring the slapping is a good idea b/c even at this age they need to know that hitting is unacceptable.

Issy is now shoving her easter bunnies down her throat and gagging. Lovely. I should probably get off the computer now.

does anyone have this going on? my daughter thinks it is funny to slap me and kick my mom...not everyday but enough for me to be concerned. i really do not want to slap her hand...i have found that ignoring it helps but i really want her to stop. any suggestions?
