Yes - come over to the Spark March 2006 BF moms! I had lost all my baby weight + 20 lbs and then gained 40 due to depo/antidepressants. I was doing WW and still gaining due to the depo. I have FINALLY turned the corner and have lost 5.8 in 4 weeks. I was hoping for 2/week but my doctor told me that recent studies show depo now hangs around your body for up to 18 months and I'm up to 9 months off so I need to be happy about that. It's hard to be at an all-time non-preggo weight but I'm working on it now and Sarah and Elizabeth (now Nancy too!) keep me going!
Nancy, I have issues getting up to my min cals somedays just because of all the fruits/veggies I eat. I second the almonds and also avocado. I used to HATE it but now I mash it will a little salsa and some garlic and a hint of sea salt for a quick guacamole with some baked tostitos.

Hey Nancy! I just wanted to let you know that I used Spark People to lose my pregnancy weight and an additional 10 pounds and I nursed frequently the entire time! I made sure that I was eating enough to sustain breastfeeding (for me it was 2100-2300 per day) and if I exercised a lot I would add a little extra, but made sure it was a healthy and low fat extra. Some nights I would have to eat a handful of almonds before going to bed because I needed more calories. It was great! Honestly, it only took me about 7 months to lose my 25 pounds and I have kept it off for over a year :)
Spark rocks! It is so easy to track your food, calories and exercise. You will lose this weight in no time!! Good Luck, you'll be hotter than ever in no time!
ETA: Tanya really knows what she's talking about, I used her advice too! Have you checked out the Workout Clubs and Challenges in the "Others Like You" section? I found a great group of girls trying to lose weight there and the Babyfit experts would pop in all the time to help us out.

Hey guys... Tanya (BF personell) says that I should stick with my pregnancy intake. THat was like 2300+ calories, then an additional 300? THat seems crazy to me.
Man, lots less work to be fat, huh? LOL!
HOw much were/are those who are BFing eating a day?

Yes, I agree with Sarah. Also depending on how hard you exercise, you may need to add a few more calories. But try the 300-500 calories first, then you can tinker with the rest!:)
this is the picture I wanted to use. DH wasn't a fan.

Hey Sarah!
I'm glad you're in both places!
I went back last night and added 300 to my caloric intake and then I changed the tracker to keep track of a lot more nutrients (got the info from BF).
Yah, she's really not nursing much at all now. THat's why I thought it would be safe to start trying to lose the weight.
I'll let you know how it goes. THanks for your help.... In BOTH places.

You're right Nancy, that isn't enough calories. SP isn't set up for nursing moms. I would add anywhere from 300-500 calories to your range depending on how many times you are nursing. If you're nursing 5 or less times a day I would add 300 calories, but if it's more than that you probably need closer to 500 extra. Once you add the extra calories you'll probably find it easier to lose weight. Good luck!
