I'm sad too! I LOVE asparagus but Abby already has painful gas...I don't want to risk giving her more.

Oooh! I ate asparagus last night and was going to have some of the leftovers tongiht. I love it! I have eaten broccoli many times and she doesn't seem too bothered by it. Being a vegetarian, I really need to eat my veggies, lol.

Nifty, I know! Its like we're supposed to eat healthy but everything healthy gives our babies gas...its so frustrating.

ladies, don't mix the two!
if you have the smelly pee reaction to asparagus your breast milk will smell the same, and your baby's diapers will even smell like that.
i couldn't figure out why i was still smelling that horrid smell a day and a half after i ate it, and then i caught a whiff of my bra and then the baby's pee.

(it is caused by a sulfide that your body either can or can't handle. if your pee smells, you can't, but it doesn't hurt you at all, but that stench! too bad i love the veggie so much!)
