I just recorded when I mestruated and then calculated 14 days or so. Both time it didn't take long (2 months or so) and therefore I never stressed out.
No advice really bt lots of hugs and babydust your way!!!

Thanks ladies for all your replies. I know 3 months is not that long but I have to compare it to how it was the first time around. We were trying then too but I wasn't even expecting it to happen so soon and it did so I expected to be the same second time around and it just frustrates me that it's not. I'm tired of having all this sex. LOL.
I guess I have irregular cycles too, because since I got my period post partum, my cycles are shorter (24-28 days) Last 3 months my period didn't show up until about 33-35 days so I really thought I was preggo and tested 3 times that first month and it was all negative and I just didn't understand why. And I'm just like Cutiebear said, so nervous at the end of the cycle to see if I'm preggo or not. This month I had a feeling that AF will show and she sure did. So I'm not sure if the charting would work for me since my cycles are kind of irregular. We were trying about every other day after AF left almost until she showed up again. I'm not sure if it's better every other day or everyday when do you think you are ovulating? I have to try to stay down afterwards. Lot of times I got up right away.

I wanted my kids to be about 3 years apart, well I already missed on that so I guess I'll just go with the flow now. It's weird that I feel ready for #2 now, not like few months ago when that idea sounded insane. But I'm sure I change my mind later on. LOL.

I was always irregular so I think just getting regulated was all I needed. With my first my dh's mom gave me this tea that she made. Supposedly everyone who drank it got pregnant so I tried it. I had to take it every day for 9 days and it was nasty stuff but I did it. Sure enough I got pregnant. With my 2nd I was put on bc pills to make me regular. I stayed on them for 5 months and got pregnant 1 month after going off them. This time I did nothing special but I figured because of the things I had to do before it wouldn't happen right away. Nope I actually moved in with my bf in the middle of June and got pregnant in July. Between my 1st and 2nd I tried for a long time but nothing happened so I was convinced that I couldn't get pregnant without some kind of fertility treatments. I was really surprised that the 5 months on bc worked that well.

A change in your mind set. When I wanted to get pregnant and we went at it like bunnies I found I was tense nearing the end of the month because I was hoping that this was the month. After six months I got discouraged from all the negative pregnancy test that I looked at hubby and said nevermind it's not meant to be, that month I got pregnant.

Track your cycles but relax and take it as it comes.

My Motto change what you can, what you can't don't stress it go with the flow.

I would suggest charting also. I also paid close attention to the cervical mucus.

The BC pills I was on threw my cycle out of whack so I didn't even have a normal cycle every month--meaning one month it was 27 days then another month it was 25 days. So since it was inconsistent I just babydanced every other day as soon as I stopped bleeding. I also sat still for at least 30 minutes and put a pillow underneath me. When we did it that way, we conceived. And that cycle started 24 days after the previous one so I have no idea what day I ovulated.

So I started babydancing on CD 7 (CD1 is the first day of bleeding) CD 8, CD 10, CD 12, and CD 14. I was too tired to do anything else after that, but didn't have to since we had conceived.

Hope this helps. I know how frustrating it can be when it doesn't take long with the first one but then you have to actually try with the second one.

Good luck!

Yeah I would suggest charting. I dont know about the not getting up straight away or propping your legs up - I never tried that but it can't hurt right?
Try to relax and remember even though 3 months feels like forever, Its not that long! Keep trying ... good luck and look forward to hearing some news!!

This is what worked for us both times we tried : I charted ( I like the fertility friend website) so I could figure out when I was most fertile.

Then when we did have sex during ovulation, we did it every other day (doing it too often can decrease the quality of sperm). When we had sex I would lay with my hips propped up for 20 minutes or so afterwards.

I know its frustrating, but I think our method works. When trying for DD, I went off birth control in November and we figured we'd see what happened. By January I was ready to "really" try using this method again and it worked like a charm!

I kind of posted about this on another thread but I think I should start my own

I need help with TTC. I know there are so many moms who are pregnant or already given birth to their #2, 3 or 4.
I heard it takes longer the second time around. I just don't know why is that? We've been trying for 3 months and had so much sex like never before and still nothing.
I'm not sure if there are any tips that would help me? For example:
Do I need to prop my legs up after sex?
Should I be laying down for a while afterwards or what happen if I get up right after sex?
Then I heard that if you climax it helps the sperm to get further? Sometimes I'm not even in the mood and just "collect the sperm" LOL.
I'm just so clueless because I never had to do any of that the first time around so any tips are appreciated.
