Have to throw my comment in there. I am going through the same thing. I hate to say this but I've dreaded being around Oliver lately! He whines about everything, gets into everything, and the worst part, he's started running from me! We live in an apartment on the second level. I went to get groceries and was getting ready to start lugging them up the stairs when he makes a B line down the apartment complex. He went really far and luckily I caught up with him because he was about to run in the street! I was so mad I could've seriously went bananas. I am glad I'm not the only one and I hope too it'll end for all of us soon!!!!!!
Oliver Samuel born on Jan. 31st weighing 11 lbs. 3 oz. / 22 1/2 in.

Hey ladies. Thanks for this thread. Not much help here but just wanted you to know I'm also going through the same stubborn times with Jocelyn.
I've tried a combination of ignoring, time-outs, and yes...I admit a bit...a lot...of yelling on my part but she's just so frusterating. This must be the age that all women forget to tell you about=)
Good luck ladies!!!!

Jonathan has gotten whiney the last month and is bossy. I read in parent's magazine that the 2.5-3 year mark is hard and that they will get better at 3 years old. They are all about pushing your buttons, trying to see how far they can go, and voicing their opinion. Sounds like he is being a normal 2 year-old, just like mine.

I like to give Jimmy choices.
Instead of lets put on your PJs I say "Do you want to wear the PJs with Monkeys or tractors"
you can use this apporach for EVERYTHING. "Do you want the milk in the blue cup or the red cup?"
