Maranatha,

I feel for you! I am struggling with this as well. We seem to go through cycles and then things smooth over for awhile and then another storm approaches! It seems that my son is becoming more and more strong willed. I have had to resort to popping his bum a few times but only in extreme situations where his life could had been at risk. It's a battle of wills! If you stand strong and don't let them see you out of control, angry or ready to give in they will fight you but they will give in after so many attempts. Just stick to your guns!

Being a mommy has been a challenge and one that will only make me stronger! God grant me the strength and wisdom to be the mommy that I need to be!

Hi, I haven't officially joined this Mommy Team but I NEED to!!! My DD Jazzy is Dec 14, 2005 baby.

I am trying desperately to learn ways other than spankings to encourage her to behave. I am going crazy! I am on here typing as my own "timeout" while she is throwing a fit in her bedroom (she's angry that she's in a time out).

She finally calmed herself down, but I had to close her bedroom door several times and order her to her bed to sit & wait. For about 20-30 min she was wailing & screaming and constantly opening her door.

When she calmed down I told her to go back to her room for her "real" time out, since the first time out was more like doing everything possible to terrorize the rest of the house.

OK, off to get ready for the gym. We only have a 2hr window when childcare is open, and the first 40 min have been spent dealing with this DRAMA. I hope somebody out there has ideas to help me!
