When did you guys move to Atlanta? Lucky you, now you're near Larissa!! (remember her? Her daughter won Georgia Teen Country Artist of the Year this past weekend!)
Most of us have been keeping up with each other on facebook lately.
Sounds like Erin and Evie are 2 of a kind! LOL! (right now she's sitting on the table the TV is on. Stinker!)

Erin had here 18 month check up - 32 inches and 22 lbs 12 ozs. so the 80th percentile for height and the 30th for weight - her head was in the 90 percentile again. . :) big head!!! she hates going to the Dr - didn't want her to touch her at all. . . made it hard. . . but we got though it. she is talking some and knows a ton of signs - i woudl say at least 30 signs. . . crazy! she is doing well and oh so very busy. . .
we nursed until she was 15 months old. . . my job changed and now i travel some again. . . so i had to wean her - we were down to the morning and just before bed anyway - it didn't even hurt to stop so i figure i wasn't producing much milk anymore. ..
glad to see the babies are doing well - :)

Had the 18 month well baby check today. Only did 1 shot so she's behind on MMR and Chicken pox. I could care less if she gets the later one, it's not law yet. She's up to 19.6 pounds and is 30 inches tall
James was checked too and he's 35 pounds and 40 inches tall with flat tennie's on so 39.5 I'm sure with no shoes.

It seems like I waited forever for Evie to walk, and now she's running. Magdalene is a smart girl to take her sweet time!
Evie finally had clear ears at her appointment this week. (YAY!!) and as I predicted, her weight gain has slowed. She only gained a couple ounces this past month (I think it was 3). She is definitely following her big sister's growth patterns.

Magdalene just stood up in the middle of the room. I counted to 3 and then she took a step with each foot. James and I both saw it!!!
I will have to get a new disk in the handy cam so I can try to capture it next time.
She stood up in the middle of the room last night for 5 seconds and after that when she would try James got all in her face and she couldn't do it. She has been trying so hard to stand on her little stick legs and tiny little feet.

I hope all is well with Willow, poor thing.
I haven't had Cam have a check up in the last few months. His pedi keeps talking about his MMR shot for his next appointment and I am not getting it, well unless I can find them split up which they are getting rid of. She just tries to pressure me into the ones I don't want and although I am strong and say no I just haven't felt like listening to it.
Aiden is 35 lbs now according to his last appointment. He is very tall though and it looks like all of his baby chub is gone :(

Willow gained a couple ounces. YAY! She has to go to our pedi GI for an evaluation so they can watch her and see when/if she needs to go back on meds. She still vomits twice a week. Glad we are down to 2 days though!
I can't believe how big some of these kiddos are. JOurney is still 26-27lbs.

Good news Sheila. Bree is probably right about the increased mobility helping to straighten it out.
Michelle, those stories make me really sad and upset. Sometimes I wonder why people have kids. Seriously, a bouncer doesn't replace a Mommy. So annoying! I don't understand how anyone can think a bouncer would be better for reflux then holding a baby. Wouldn't a bouncer made reflux worse? Weird.

SHeila, I amglad it was good as well. With her newfound mobility, you may see change over the two months that you have to make the final decision.

Thanks Michelle. It is a little hard to see in pictures and it's more to her right side.
They say part of it is fromher not sitting up soon enough. She was very delayed with that. and fromm the way she sleeps.
I have done a lot of looking and reading. In Europe they are starting to give babies little pillows in the hospital to help with this.

Michelle, she is going overboard with the bouncer and I hate the bottle proping thing! That cannot help at all and is only an excuse for her obvious laziness.
Aiden's head was mishapen for a bit. He had to sleep on his sides when he was born for the sleep apnea and only cared for the left side. As he got a little older I put him more on the right and than rotated and now he is fine. I think she looks totally fine!

I've noticed it more in babies content to stay in swings and seats. My nephew was in his swing 22 hours a day. His head is misshapen. So is my cousin's kid's head. He lives in his bouncer. Literally. He was diagnosed with reflux and she claims that the doc said not to hold him. So he stays in the bouncer all the time. His bottles are propped and he even sleeps in it.
His head is wonky.
I know that some asymmetry in facial features is normal. So maybe it is a combo of both.
I had a friend who had lived on a reservation out west and she said that the babies tied to backboards ALL had really flat heads. LOL

As for why she was saying some of it has to do with the way babies are laid on their backs to sleep now. I wonder if that accounts for all of it.

Yay on the cruising and taking steps!
I am glad that you liked the doctor and, I assume, feel comfortable with him and the advice given. I will pray that you are able to have peace with the decision you make. Glad that it was much better news than it could have been!
Did he give a reason as to the 'why's' of it all?

Okay so first off Magdalene started to cruise the weekend of March 21st. She took her first steps holding onto my hands on March 27th She is on her feet now more than her bottom but still crawls everywhere.
Now for how her appointment went on March 26. I need to start by saying we went to OKC to see one of the OU Dr.'s. I got sicker than a dog the night before while we were in the hotel. I thought Andy was going to have to drive from Dallas, TX to OKC,OK (a 3 hour or so drive) to bring us home and wasn't so sure I was going to make it to her appointment at all. Thankfully I had an energy drink with me from home and was able to make it through the day. Her appointment was set for 9:30. I was there about 9. No joke, after 10:30 when they called us back and said we wound see the Dr in 15 to 20 minutes. Well, it was over an hour. We did see a young guy first who came in and ask some questions and left until the Dr came in. I did really like the Dr, once we met him. Magdalene's head is wide. It's right at a half inch wader than it should be. She is border line for needing a helmet. IF she was a boy he would have said she needed one. They let girls go an 1/8 of an inch more than boys because of them having longer hair. IF we want to go ahead and put her in one in the next 2 months we just have to cal his office and he will write us a script for one. Her left cheek and eye are further out than the right. One ear is more forward and other is lower. He was spitting out measurements while telling me all this. The front of the brain grows until they are 2 the back grows from 3-5 years of age. We should see a difference later on the back of her head. So, he left it up to me and andy on putting her in a helmet and for now we think we will let it go. If it does bother me in the next 2 months we will put her in one. Just knowing she is on th eline makes it hard to decide. I hate the thought of forcing her to wear one 23 hours a day for 2 or 3 months. I just hope not doing anything doesn't bite me on the butt later with her. This is one of those times being a parent is hard. Insurance doesn;t cover the cost anymore. It would be all out of pocket. We can afford it. I do feel okay with our decision for now since the Dr said that he would not put her in one if she was his. Sort of seemed double edged that he would if she was a boy. He said that with the very short hair or with a crew cut you would see it a lot more. Most girls never have their hair above their ears so you wouldn't ever motice it.
I'll try to put a picture on my baby page later where i have drawn lines to show kind of where he head should be adn you can see what "sticks out".

Well, took Evie in today. She's 31", 33 lbs 3 oz, and not so healthy. She has yet another double ear infection. Apparently from her constant colds. Dr. said it's just a bad year for colds, and yadda, yadda, yadda...
She's on another antibiotic. We're trying amoxocillin this time, and hopefully she's not allergic to it like her big brother & sister.
She has to go back in a month to make sure her ears stay clear.
The only bad thing is it may mean an end to her swimming lessons.

Evie broke a top & bottom molar on the right side. She won't let me check the left, there may be molars there as well. And of course she has another cold and is not sleeping. I am so exhausted!

Bree, is she eating dirt dirt or clay? I know that both have mineral in them. She may be lacking. We are said to have some good dirt here in OK. I have known people here who eat it. Most while pg though. I think the big thing is just to see if she is lacking something.
I think a lot of pet food taste good.

I thought eating dog food was normal. Colin screams and fight the dog for the dog food. Then he grabs a handful and runs like hell when he catches my eye. He knows I always take the dog food off of him.

Evie eats dog food. Everytime we're visiting my parents, she bee-lines for the dog food dish. Not sure what's in that stuff, but I know my little brother also ate dog food. THankfully she doesn't find cat food appealing!
And my kids thought wood-products (paper, cardboard, wooden spoons, etc.) were a food group until at least age 2. But they are not dirt eaters.
I hope the insurance doesn't give you any trouble. I know our primary insurance is a real PITA to deal with! Makes it even worse that they dropped all of our Dr.'s from their network.

Magdalene eats cat food when she can get to it. She hasn't found dirt yet.
I'm starting to get very nervous about going to see the cranial Dr. you go go to the link to see him. At least he looks nice. I just hope our insurance doesn't become a PITA of all this stuff. It needs to b e covered. I've read on a few other sites that they really fight to not pay. I'll have to tald Andy into it, if she needs it. I was trying to find a picture of what her head looks like to me but I couldn't. They show how bad it can be not any inbetween.
