Awww... I miss you guys. I wasn't even a part of this group when this thread was originally posted but it makes me think of how much fun it was chatting with you all when this group was a little more active. The June '09 board is lame and I have almost stopped visiting BF altogether. I erased all of the info from my profile last week because I figured I probably wasn't going to post again... I also love massages and all spa treatments (I get it often as I can!!) I am bit of beauty junky (especially Aveda and MAC products) I love shopping and I am a smart bargain shopper I don't like to admit I am a shop-aholic (I also shop least 3X a week!) I have closet full of "Nothing to wear" Chloe already have tons of clothing range from Newborn to 24 months DH have as much clothing as Chloe! I am a control and organizer freak! I like to think, I am getting better after having Chloe (yeah, right!!) I also love buying an organizer book for just about everything.. I just bought "the ultimate organizer for busy parents", and "day care diary" (The day care ladies are going to love me!!)

My biggest fear (apart from anything horrible happening to Ben) is that my DH and I will get divorced. I love him dearly but we are both useless communicators and I think drives us apart.

i'm ocd but imange to keep people from noticing most of hte time. DH refuses to do laundry or dishes because he knows I am going to re-do them anyway. I stayed up late every night my mom was here to help when I was on bedrest to re do the dishes she had washed! My biggest fear is the return of ym rapist.

*I too am moody, easily irritated, and let myself stress easily. I think I have been constantly stressed out since I had my 1st baby. *I also get bored easily *When I go onto ebay I cannot help but bid on something (just purchased a Motorolla V3 Razr, yikes!!) and usually regret it. *I don't pamper myself at all and rarely buy anything other than t-shirt tops and jeans. But my kids have a fabulous wardrobe of designer clothes. *The only pair of boots I own are hiking boots (very feminine, huh??) *I HATE to clean and I believe it is because I was an only girl and I was made to do all the housework while my brothers (3 of them) did nothing. *I NEVER tell my Dh that I love him, and I'm not sure that I do anymore. *I love my cat, but HATE dh's cat and dog.(dirty creatures, yuk!) OMG, I'm starting to see 'War of the Roses' here!! *I am starting a diet every day, haha!! Never happens though. *My DH is convinced that I have been mildly depressed since I had Conor.

I love massages (get one monthly). I love pedicures (get one 3-4x per year at my fave salon). I love body lotions and bubble baths. I love shopping. I think I should be a personal shopper... ask me where to find something and for how much and I can tell you! Like Kat, I need to shop at least 3x per week. My wardrobe is crap. My daughters' are fashion victims. I have blond eyebrows that I just waxed and had tinted. I should do it monthly, but seem to do it only 2x per year! I've never waxed anything except my eyebrows, and I never will!
I am NOT high maintenance even though I like to pamper myself. I AM moody, easily irritated, and let myself stress easily... pampering myself is self-preservation and a gift to my family!

I always have to have my hair fixed and makeup just right, but I have never once done anything with my eyebrows. I dont' think they look too bad, and they are light/strawberry blonde (I have red hair), so I never messed with them.

Having a pedicure is a test of endurance for me. If someone acts like they are going to touch my feet I flip out in a ticklish frenzy. My first pedi experience was horrible- I was fine until she got the pumice stone to my foot and I accidently kicked the lady on the side of her face. Thank god she thought it was funny because I was thinking they were going to have me arrested for assalt!

I love getting massages everywhere...but can't have facials. There's just something uncontrollably clausterphobic feeling to me about somebody spending time focusing on my face with scrubs and extractions...no thank you! Oh, I also love peeps...not fresh ones but old hard peeps from any season. YUMMY!

my toes have to be painted, but i do them myself. i do still go to a salon for my hair -- i would die without my stylist!! my nails are a mess, always have been. i use the excuse that i'm an artist & an art teacher ;-) i used to tan every summer, but i'm not that into anymore. although, my post baby body could probably use the help of a tan!!

I USED to be high maintenance...then I had two kids within 2 years. I'm lucky if I'm bottom of the pile maintenace. Don't get me wrong, I would love to go have my nails and hair done...but the babies just don't care...LOL

I tis easier to kick with ababy as inspiration. I started eating in the year before I got pregnant, but had trouble with it until I could feel Poetry in me. Wesgained as much as me that pregnancy because I would say I was hungry , but couldnt eat! LOL We ended up gaining 40lbs. Now I look at how healthy she is and can't imagine her seeing me that way. Mymom has always been heavy (well since i was a couple years old anyhow) She is bipolar and would become bulemic during bad times with it. Other times she was on whatever pills the doctor said would melt away the pounds. My friend and I had contests to see who could stay up the longest and go the longest w/out food. We survived on coffe and mountain dew. The bigger that baby gets, the easier it will be so hang in there. Once he starts on solid food, it will be even easier to eat because you will eat with your baby.

Kat and Journey- I can relate to you both. I have battled eatting disorders since 12 yrs old. I watched my mom pop laxatives and live off of diet coke and cigs since I was a baby. She did coke for the longest time too and she was always skinny until she got closer to 40 and now she can't lose the weight. I started getting crazy with calorie counting first then it went to how long I can go without eatting a thing. As I got older (15) I started smoking and it helped w/hunger pangs. Last year before I got pg I really could not afford at lot so I would chose buying a pack of cigs over a meal. Now trying to healthily (is that a word?) get to a normal weight is proving a struggle. I want so badly to go back to old habits but I have a little baby depending on me to be healthy to take care of him so I refrain.

ewwwww, we have a lake like that too...Lake Scugog...I would NEVER put a toe in that lake, so many un-recovered bodies, I lived with a cop before and he used to go scuba diving looking for bodies and would rarely find one. :-(

Journey, I know what you mean. When I was addicted to cocaine I lost 20lbs in about 4mths, I never ate. i would do drugs and stay awake for 3 days at a time without eating then (I survived on diet coke and cigarettes and although I would hear my tummy rumble, I NEVER felt hungry!) I would eat a meal and start all over. I went from 125lbs to 105 at 5'6! I was very skinny. Sometimes I miss being skinny or the partying but it passes quickly. I was soooo unhealthy, unhappy and heading for a disaster of a life...now I look at myself and think "what a miracle" I am truly a walking talking miracle to be where I am today, skinny or not!

LOVEBABYT...It pretty much sucked! None of them were very nice to her, or us. She has terrible taste in men to this day. I married my first husband and he took after those men, an alcoholic and not so nice to me. I married my now husband and he is just like my Dad, the love of my life! So it sucked as a kid, but it was a learning experience!

My Mom was married 6 times during my childhood My Dad was married only once, to her. She broke his heart. I drank almost daily from 18-20, then stopped when I got pregnant on my 20th Birthday. I only have 1-2 drinks now, and that is not very often. I am close friends with my Ex-Husband's Wife. My 10 year old son is almost as tall as me.

There is probably lots you guys don't know about me.
*I was an only child with a single mother for 15 years off and on, and then my mom got married and he had a daughter and a son, and then they had a son toghether, and then just recently my dad got married and had a new baby, and she had 3 girls, and my father has a daughter from a previous marriage (after my mom) that I have never met, and I hope to meet her someday.
*I have naturally curly hair. *I grew up in the most desolate state there is- Wyoming. There is no place like it. *I was on the dance team in High school, and miss it so much *My baby has red hair, and we don't know where it came from. * I am a very picky eater, and hate to try new things for fear I won't like it. *I have only drank one time ever in my life, and it was only a tiny bit of wine, I did not like it, so that won't be happening again anytime soon. *I love banana's *I like to take my food apart, like reese's peanut butter cups I eat the chocolate and then the peanut butter, and kitkat's I eat the chocolate, and then the waffer, ect. *I now live in Utah, and love it. I know Utah is famous for it's ski resorts, but I don't ski, and don't want to learn, even if my husband thinks he will get me out on the slopes one day and he is wrong. *I love to watch movies, and buy them. *I love pizza, and wanted to eat it every day when I was prego. *I would love to learn to ballroom dance. *I am LDS. *I have been happily married for 2 years. *My husband and I met through some friends and that meeting happend on the internet.

i HATE the smell of fajitas. like the taste but cant stand the smell! if were at a restaurant and i see/hear the sizzling platter coming toward my table, i will get up until it has passed. uggghhh, its a joke now when i go out to eat...my husband threatens to order them one day!

not scared of water, lived by the ocean when I was a kid and I got a kick out of swimming during rain storms as the waves would practically eat us up at only 2 ft of water, I think back on that and realize it was stupid and dangerous but would probably do it again, I also jumped off bridges for fun, once I jumped off a bridge that hadremains of an old bridge beside it and pretty much decapitated my foot and had to walk about 20 min home, OUCH!! My foot is much better now :) And some of my most fave scary movies are water ones....

I thought Jaws lived under my bed when I was a kid - but only at night. I somehow managed to simultaneously turn off my light and land in my bed accross the room (something that should be physically impossible) so I didnt' get eaten.

LOL- I can't go into pools at night either, even one with the light because I see my shadow and freak. I can walk through the woods at night and not bat an eye but get me in the water and it turn into the biggest wuss ever! I was at the lake one time and in a raft tied at the back of the boat and I ate it during a 40mile per hour turn. I felt the woody plant life grab at my leg and I was having a panic attack in the water. I should just learn not to go in the stupid water if it scares me that bad!

*I've had 5 surgeries plus 2 exploratory surgeries on my ears. *I can't brush my teeth in the mornings.... I heave and gag! *I'm terrified of dogs and panic if I meet one while out on my own. *I once got so drunk I couldn't get the key in the lock at home so I tried to get into the car to sleep, couldn't open that either. Eventually got in the house. (boy, was I sick next day and when I think about what could've happened to me.....!!) *I quit smoking 5yrs ago and can honestly say I've never missed them.

I have really enjoyed reading this thread. Ok, my turn...
I've been to music academy, playing the Cello and in a choir. Our choir has been the backing vocals to a french composer called Jean Michel Jarre at a concert in London.
I met my DH and was engaged within 4 months, and was married 6 months later. (And still happily married, despite predictions saying otherwise)
I've never taken off my wedding band since the day my hubby put it on. (Though I've had to take off my engagement ring for pastry making)
My family and I don't celebrate christmas or birthdays. But we regularly buy presents for each other and wrap them, esp for the kids, so they don't feel they are missing out.
I love baking and would love to spend a day baking cakes and pies for my family. Oh, if only the time and the figure. LOL.
I was on a Weight Watchers diet before I fell pregnant. I had lost two stones (28lbs) in 2 months. I still had another 2 stones to loose, then I found out I was expecting...
Ophelia came out with a dislocated knee. She was using her leg to kick herself in the shoulder. Docs think it was due to the fact that she was breech until she turned at 34 weeks gestation. She'll be fine, but I tell people it's her party trick. LOL.
I slammed my finger in the door of a bronco and had to have 1 stitch (my finger was too tiny for anymore to fit there! LOL) I had my head slammed in a car trunk when I was 9 by a boy who had tried to set his house on fire when he was 3 (he was 13 or so when he slammed my head in the trunk)

Liquor is a bad thing! I went to the Kenny Chesney concert with a friend last year (04). I found a certain drink, Cruzan Confusion, to be quite good. I was so " confused" I had to go to the concert again just so that I could remember it. I have been cured of my alcohol interest. Puking up rum for 12 hours straight will do that to you!

It's good to know I'm not the only one with a past...I got into the bad scene at about 15 with drinking, smoking and pot. I tried mushrooms at 16 and accidentally overdosed almost killing myself...it was one of the scariest experiences in my life. A friend was giving me CPR and I could hear the sound of his voice getting further and further away... I really thought that was it and I was going to die there on the floor of that trailer. I feel bad for what I put my mom through when she was up at night worrying about me at times...I know that her prayers are what kept me safe and why I am here today.

Sara- We were responsible bad girls...if there is such a thing :). Dh and I sold our first two items on ebay for the first time...it is so addicting. We started looking through our house looking for more things to sell.

Ok, now I dont feel so bad. I drank fo rthe first time @ 15 and got caught by the poilice. I had to do community service. The first time I tried pot I got caught by my day, its the only time he has ever hit me. I was big into the Rave scene and did ecstasy and acid until I alost had to go to the hospital. My grandma bought me a carton of cigs. at 16. I have now stopped smoking I still managed to get straight A's in school as well. Bunch of bad girls in here huh? OH! And to add something light- I sell on Ebay ALL the time! Its my at home job!

Kat- that is funny. My friends liked my mom more than me I think. My mom went to all the parties with me because she thought it would be good to have an adult around, and a designated driver for me. She got blasted too. I remember walking back into the room and she was on a table dancing with my guy friends. She even help sneak my 20 year old bf into our house at 3am past my dad when I was 15. I am horrified as a mother now but back then I thought it was soooo cool.

It is neat reading interesting pieces of your lives!
I graduated from high school a year early and was going to college since I was 16-20 but never got a degree because I could not stick to one subject to get the recommended criteria, then dropped out to work three jobs to support our household because my mom kept kicking me out of the house.
I was a bad kid in school but still managed to pull off straight A's, graduate early, go to college and hold down multiple jobs. I drank and did drugs and looked like a freak!
Since I was 13 I had uterine problems like endometriosis, uterine and ovarian cysts, and a yearly reoccuring infection in my uterus that the docs concluded inexplainable. They told me I might as well get a historectomy because I could not safely carry a child to term. (I think they were a little wrong on that one!!)
My dh and I have parents with the same names (dad's names-gary and mom's names-cynthia) and both sets are divorced and remarried.
I got drunk the first time when I was 13 and 14 when my mom got me drunk. My mother bought me my first pack of cigs and first 6 pack of beer at the age of 15.
Some people may have dropped jaws, but these things are what shaped me into the person I am today- someone with no regrets, but with a pretty good outlook on the life I want and a life I don't. I have a great relationship with my mom now but only after I made her understand I wanted a mom and not another friend.

Okay trying to answer the same questions as others...
Favorite color is RED! Like my red leather couches and my red kitchen and my red lamp shades and my red paintings. I try not to go overboard, but who knows when to stop?
Size nine shoe for width, but length wise my feet fit a 7. :) I have VERY wide hoofs.
Of course George Michael is gay!
Never done any drugs or drank a lick of alcohol in my life.
I moved out on my own when I was 15 and remained pretty independent until I got married at 21.
Places I have visited that I enjoyed: an Alaskan cruise, the Florida Keys with my hubby, Germany, Russia, Switzerland, a long road tip through Canada when I was 14, a month in Mexico when I was 17.
I long to see Iraq, Yemen, Israel, Italy, Kenya, Swaziland, the Phillipines, China, and Vietnam.
Just wanted to add that my favorite television shows are anything Star Trek except for Deep Space Nine, but I will settle for West Wing. I should add that I only watch about one hour of tv every couple of weeks or so.
