I 've been having this starting a few days ago. But mine only happens at night. Lots of pressure and sharp pains, back cramps, ligaments stretching. Sometimes I think I need to go to the bathroom, but then it turns out to be pressure only. But like I said, mine only hits me atfer 4 o'clock. I'm miserable all evening and swear every night that I think I'll go into labor.

Due 12/26/05-BOY!Hope he waits till then.

I have all sorts of twitches and twinges of pain down there! Everything from cramping to severe pressure... I'm going to the dr. in 30 minutes so he can "check" me, and I'll let you know what he says!

Thanks......and Jilly I am happy to hear your baby's slumber was just out of laziness..heheh, don't you pray they will stay that way AFTER they're here! I guess I am just so used to this one being so overly active my entire pregnancy that when he decided to take a lazy day I started to panic. This pressure is unbelievable though.......it is crazy and so suddenly onset. Thanks for your advice and well wishes!

Hello there, bless you i hope you are well...I experienced exactly the same thing a week ago Friday. I felt as if I hadnt felt the baby move for ages and as it is normally really active I was concerned, especially through the night-I may have just been asleep but I and my partner were concerned enough to ring the delivery suite (we have to do this in UK from 36 weeks onwards)so we went in - it was 6am and we were sleepy. The doctors tracked the heart and movements and they were concerned becasue there is a 'safe' criteria the baby has to meet before they let you go home, it took a whole hour for the baby to reach this- we were worried, they sent us for a doplar which monitors the oxygen flow through the cord and just before we went they gave me some tea and toast, the baby started going crazy! moving around so much that they couldnt get a reading from the dopler-baby has to be still! So we just think it was a sleepy day. My partner loves his sleep and wont be woken til he's ready, must be in the genes!! I would say you are perhaps experiencing the same kind of thing. I noticed my bump was rigid during this time and it could be that it was in a funny akward position. The pains you describe are also something Im having at mo- kind of feels like theres a bowling ball dropping in there doesnt it! I think its all natural. This is my first baby so I'm just going with whatever! My Mum says it'll come when its ready. I hope you are feeling ok... try not to worry too much. Perhaps lie on your left side in a darkened quiet room and listen to some relaxing music- this usually gets my bump moving loads but if you asre worried I would contact your GP/hospital just to be safe-they dont mind at all...rather see you than there be something wrong and not...

Ok, I know this sounds dumb...because I think I'm toting around a 8.5 lb baby right now...but for the last two days I am having some pretty serious low abdominal pain. I wouldn't be concerned if it were intermittent like a braxton hicks contraction...but its constant, and this morning I attempted to bend over the sink to throw some water on my face and had a shooting pain so bad it almost buckled my knees.....Does this just sound like pressure? Last Wed my Dr. said his head was pretty far down but I was only dilated to 1. He seems a little quiet yesterday and today too. I hate to call my Dr. every 5 minutes and sound like a hypocrondiac. Anyone else experiencing this?
