I went for my OB appt. at 28,30 and 31wks. and every time they said the baby is head dwn. they also checked the cervix which was long and closed that's a good thing. I hope he stays dwn. for the duration.

Picture taken at 38wks.

My midwife says they usually turn at 36 weeks, but she has even seen them do this in labor, so it can depend on the baby. I know my son was positioned incorrectly at 36 weeks, and they gave me some exercises to do, which helped to turn him around.

I THOUGHT MY LITTLE GUY WAS HEAD DOWN, BUT IT SEEMS THAT HE IS SIDEWAYS. SINC EHE HAS BEEN IN THIS POSITION, HIS MOVMENTS ARE MORE SPAZTIC. THEY ARE VERY SUDDEN AND QUICK, BUT BOTH TOP AND BOTTOM MOVING AT THE SAME TIME AND SAME SPEED, IT SEEMS REALLY WEIRD. IS THIS NORMAL. MY FIRST WAS NOTHING LIKE THIS.

I am 30 weeks and my baby is head down. The nurse said by 36 weeks they should be in their position. She also said that my baby would most likely stay head down.

I read someplace, sorry i can't find it now, that the baby can move into the head down or vertex position any time from 28 to 36 weeks. And most babies are vertex by 36 weeks.

He is facing down right now, but my Doctor's says that he can still move around and change positions, and I am 29 weeks pregnant

Mine has been head down at every check so far, too. The doctor said at 33 weeks, he will make sure she's head down because they rarely move after that. He said between now and then, they can move quite a bit.

Mine has been head down for a while, as well. I can feel her hands low down, and when she kicks it's such a kick in the ribs that it leaves me quite breathless.

Just because the baby likes to lay upside down does not mean your farther along, just as having a baby lay head up does not mean you are not as far along as you thought. Babies like to lay certain ways and will stay where they find most comfortable just as you would. I imagine you sleep in much the same position every night, same with baby. They are making due with the cramped quarters as best they can. But just having the baby hanging head down does not indicate that you are farther along.

Mine has been in that position constantly. Sometimes I can feel her roll from side to side, but her feet are always up. She is up at my ribs already also. So like I said, I either am farther along than expected (that happened to mom) or Im gonna have an Amazon baby!!

Your baby can move around in all positions until they run out of room to move. My little one is kinda head down at the moment but that doesn't mean she will stay that way!!

All the pictures I see on the baby sites show babies feet down until about 8 months. My baby has been head down for about 3 weeks now. (I'm 29 wks). I only had 1 U/S @ 16 weeks and I wonder am I possibly more far along than expected? Plus the Dr. says my baby is big. I feel like I will have this baby before Dec.10!!
