Don't feel like a dork-I'm not a big fan of co-ed showers AT ALL and your idea is making me think that even the men in my family might not complain about that. LOL. So you may be converting the non-coedders. LOL.

That's cute-bottles for burgers. I wish I would have thought of that when my sister wanted a co-ed shower.

I am going to do something for DH, but he isn't into poker. I will probably do it around a Jets away game (football)so that they have something to do. I am just trying to figure out how to invite the guys--whether buy invitation through the mail or by phone.

I love the idea. I'm going to suggest it to DH when he gets home tonight. They can set up in the basement and have the place to themselves. He and his friends love getting together for poker.

that's a cute idea! My husbands co-workers thru him a lunch shower for our first (and invited me). I let him do most of the opening and he did enjoy getting to be involved with something.

I will warn my man was a little iffy about it but once we started announcing it to his friends and when I started getting everyone addresses to send out the invitations all of his friends were saying what a great idea and how fun it will be to gather everyone together in honor of my husband first child. Now my husband is excited about it and it gets him involved in doing something fun with the baby.. Definitely I know that a game will be on during this if there is one on at that time.. You know MEN!!

What a great idea! DH's best friend didn't throw him a bachelor party but hosts a big poker game every month. I should suggest he do that!

I like that idea. Maybe I can get my BIL to host one for Paul.

Have any of you heard of this..
Thought I would share this with all of you, we are having one for my husband. I have a clubhouse rented out for a full day because my baby shower is in it in the day time and his party will be in there at night time. It is very nice it has a frig, oven, ect.. in it so it is really handy. We will order a sub and chips for them to snack on but other then that we don't have to pay for anything. But it is all of his guy friends and they play poker and drink some beers so pretty much my husbands night before becoming a father. Also since the baby shower is usually all women so it gets him involved too with doing something fun. I thought this was a great idea and so me and my family are setting this up for him. But there is an advantage to us. Every man has to bring a box or pack of diapers for the baby. They are not allowed through the door unless they have these, and I know all of you are saying oh my gosh I could not see a man in the store buying the right size of diapers, that is why you add on the invitation what size they have to get.. My sisters both did this and they didn't have to get diapers at least 3 - 5 months after the baby was born. And we all know how much diapers cost!!!
