They are trying to rule out diabetes or a live disorder, since her liver enzymes were elevated about a month ago. (I think I posted about it, but she had a virus that elevated her liver enzymes really high, but were lower, but still over the limit about a month ago) Here are the answers to the questions:
~What does she ask for to drink? usually water, but sometimes juice. I will only give her 2 cups of 1/4 juice 3/4 water a day, the rest I will give her water or milk. She also asks to have a cup of water with her when she goes to bed b/c she is so thirsty. I give her a 1/4 of a cup of water when she goes to bed.
~How often does she get soaking wet from sweat? when it is over 80 degrees or if she is running around. For example, we were out in the Hamptons last week, and we were just sitting on the couch watching TV at 7:30 at night. I was very comfortable and she was covered in sweat just sitting on my lap. When I pick her up from daycare, she is covered in sweat from being outside on the playground. It is a shady playground and none of the other kids are that sweaty.
~How much does she drink per day? there have been a few days where she has had as much as 40 ounces of liquid, but I limit it as much as possible b/c she should not need 40 ounces a day.

I'm so glad you're looking into this. I hope everything works out well with the endo. Do you have any idea what they'll be looking for? What were your answeres to those questions?

I spoke to the pediatrician today and I am taking Reilly to an endocrinologist. The ped asked me a few questions: ~What does she ask for to drink? ~How often does she get soaking wet from sweat? ~How much does she drink per day?
After I answered these questions, she said that she needs to see an endo. Keep your fingers crossed for us.

She actually had already been tested for diabetes, but I am going to contact the dr tomorrow and see what she has to say. The poor thing sweats like a prostitute in church!! LOL!! (hope that doesn't offend anyone...., just a joke) Anyway, I do get worried b/c it is seriously excessive sweating. Thanks for all your advise and thoughts. I love that I always have you ladies to turn to!!

I don't have any personal experience with it since Abi doesn't sweat all that much, but when I was growing up my next door neighbor was like that. They had her tested and she's diabetic. It would also explain her being thirsty a lot too. I think it is a good idea to have her checked. I don't think any parent should ignore the urge to check into something, ya know? If you're wondering about it, ask the pedi. Then at least you'll know one way or the other. You might want to try cotton undershirts too. That would help soak it up some too.

I can't believe how much Reilly sweats. It is honestly disgusting. Friday, we were at a memorial charity event run by Brian's cousins and she was seriously soaked. Everyone kept asking "How did she get so wet?!" I just kept telling people that it was sweat and she always sweats really badly. It was hot out, but no one else was sweating like that. It seriously looked like she had a bucket of water dumped over her head. She kept asking for a drink all day too. Also, Thursday night we were at my inlaws and we were just sitting on the couch watching TV and she was sweating so bad! We were inside, and it was a bit warm, but I was not hot at all and here she is making my shirt wet from sweat. Then she tells me she is "cold". It's gotten so bad that her nickname is "Sweaty Betty"!! Brian thinks it is nothing and that there is no reason to worry, but I am worried because it can be caused by so many things. I think I am going to call the pediatrician tomorrow and see what she says. Anyone else have children that sweat a lot?
