Emmett says the big ZIP. He says Y aye aye aye when my kids are singing a song (that has that noise in it) but he has no interest in forming words. Of course, I have enough talkers in this house, so that doesn't bother me too much!

I can't believe how much Leah is talking. Joshua never talked like she does, until he was about 18 months and now he talks up a storm.
She says Mama, Dada, Yes, Da Tub, Us Dat (What's That?), and she'll copy simple words when we say them.

Abby Grace says daddy, mama, ba for bath, we've heard her say kay a couple of time when we tell her something then say okay, boo for book, she definately tries to say her brothers names although not their full names. She loves to sing what we call the la la song. Try it with your babies sing a short la la tune to them they will echo it back just to cute.

I forgot to mention that Leah has picked up saying "dat?" because Joshua has started asking "what's that?" for every object ever created. So now I have a 2 year old and a 10 month old asking me what every little thing is...all day long.

Katelin talks quite a bit. She associates words with specific objects, but also just uses sounds to babble.
She knows Mama, and Dada, she says papa whenever she sees my dad and is starting to call both grandmas nana. She says dodo whenever she sees a dog, but never uses it anyother time. She will scream baba, especially when her babysitter gives her son a bottle before she gives one to Katie.
There is a kind of humorous word association that she has made though. Periodically after she makes poopies she will say uhoh while we are changing her. It's the only time I've ever heard her say it and it cracks me up every time. She must have picked it up from us because thats what we always tell her when its a really big disgusting one.

Jared's first words were baa baa baa = which was a cruel joke - because he WON'T take a baaaaaaa! Then he began to say dadada - and sometimes we get a mamama.
HE IS HERE!

Leah says Mamama and Dadada and babbles a lot, but that's it. She's much more vocal then Joshua was at this age, but he mastered the motor skills faster then she is.
