If it feels like it burns or your nipple is sore your nipple may be dry if only your nipple hurts. If it burns then you may have thrush. I have just found out that I have thrush and Ella doesn't but they still have to treat here. You can call your GYn and talk to them about what you are feeling and they can help you. Hope you feel better soon!

My experiance has been if its a hard knot its a clogged duct (Lucky me I stoped feeding when Aidan was 10 weeks old and I'm still getting them!!!) those you have to let him suck out or you have to express it out with a pump or by hand- it hurts very bad but once its out it feels a thousand times better!

If there are no knots I would say infection and call your dr. office to see what they want you to do. GOod luck!!!!

Ok - so I have been extremely lucky with BF -

Now I wonder if I might have an infection, he just fed one side and it was soooooo painful -

How do I know - what do I do?
