Great story. Glad to hear your experience was so wonderful. That always makes things better. I love the new pics! She is so beautiful. Looks like she found her thumb too :) I LOVE the name by the way...can you say Gilmore Girls (LOL).

Sorry this took so long but it's been a whirlwind here! I thought I was busy before!!

Anyway, I started having contractions on Wed the 3rd. I went to l & d and they gave me fluids. The contractions slowed down but never stopped. They sent me home with orders to rest and keep my next appt.

I was scheduled to go into my dr office the afternoon of the 5th for an amnio to see if the baby was ready to come. Well around 3:30 am I woke up very, very sick. I couldn't sleep and the contractions seemed more intense. Finally at 9, I called the office and they brought me in. I was dialating and contracting regularly so my dr looks at us and says, "How about we have a baby around lunchtime?!" We went straight to the hospital and had the full work up done. My mom made it just in time for me to be wheeled into the operating room. I had a brief panic attack after Lorelei was born because I was afraid she wasn't breathing (crying) right but I was quickly reassured by the wonderful medical staff that everything was fine. I spent 3 days in the hospital and Lorelei never left my side except to be weighed each evening.

I have to say after having a late baby and Mady being in NICU for 5 days I was terrified of this birth. I know many people frown upon planned c-sections but for me it was definitely the right choice. I had a wonderful birth experience this time and would even consider doing it again! I am healing well and Lorelei is growing way to quickly....but how can she not when she eats 3 oz every 3-3 1/2 hours!

Lorelei Rose: Born 10/5/07 @ 1:02 pm, 7lbs 5oz, 19 1/2 in. The newest addition to our family! It doesn't get much better than this.

Madisyn Elizabeth: Born 9/8/05 @ 10:52pm, 8lbs 3.5oz, 20 1/4 in- my very first and my miracle baby!
