Joshua's sick now too. Midnight trip to Walgreens for help stop vomiting. He is sleeping in but Michael is up and looking for playtime. I have such a migraine from lack of sleep. I'm gonna have to find a babysitter as mine is now in France. LOL!

Home from family reunion with Dad's crew. Michael has been throwing up on/off again for 24 hrs. Blah! My chili came out way too hot for any of us. Blah! Don't even let me get rolling on Mom as I have some pent up issues about her nagging all year. I have such a migraine. Glad the storm wasn't so harsh on East TX this time. Open house for boys school in the morning. First meeting for MOPS on Friday and I've got to find a new recipe for breakfast casserole. Sigh.

Feeling a ton better. All thanks to Motrin. Stopped taking the dilaudid and started taking Motrin instead. Works 100 times better. Strange but whatever. LOL Still can't lay all the way down, not from pain, it feels like it closes off my lungs or something and I immediately can't breath. Only thing that really hurts is my belly button, which of course has to rub on EVERYTHING. BLAH! All in all I feel a lot better and am glad it it all done and over with.
Now if I could just get the extra weight off, gained 7lbs that day in the hospital. BLAH! Haven't lost any of it yet and its been 3 days.

Hey guys. Haven't been around awhile. Been doing well though. Ayden had surgery for the undescended testicle about 3 weeks ago and he's doing really well. He has 2 stiches, one very tiny, and one over 2 inches long. The surgery went well, I was just so scared of my baby being knocked out when he's so small but it worked out. He's doing really great. He turns ONE next FRIDAY!! I cannot believe it, completely insane.
Caleb just started soccer a couple of weeks ago and he's doing really well. He gets a little sidetracked and starts picking flowers for me, but he's such a good kicker! It's so adorable.
My parents are supposed to be flying out of New Orleans on MOnday to fly here, but that looks like it might not happen because of Gustav, so they are going to drive to memphis and fly out of there (where their connecting flight here to germany was out of) and so please just pray that that works out! I haven't seen them for 9 months and I need to see them! They are coming for 2 weeks and are supposed to be here for Ay's bday and everything, so if you think about it, say a prayer for them!! Hopefully this storm won't be another katrina, but geez it's not looking so great.

My week is disappearing... so much to do...
Mom went to toddler pool with us today and LOVED IT! Got to use up the last prepaid tickets for it so that was one thing off my to do this week too.
Got Michael's shots. It's the split up from 12 month checkup. Now he'll have to go back in two weeks for his 15 month checkup. I forgot how many office visits Joshua had.
Everything is read for school to start next week. Joshua is on/off again for potty training. Praying it works out and think it will at least at school.
Not at all ready for weekend reunion starting Friday morning. Blah! The spices I ordered for the Chili Cookoff came in tonight. House is decent and don't have too much laundry to wash. Hopefully will be easy to pack.
Gotta run hand-me-downs out to friends tomorrow. Will be a long drive for kids. Sigh. Might stop to get a new Elmo DVD we saw a couple days ago. I think we are broke again after this though.
Newsletter for MOPS is GREAT this month! Just got a note saying one of my new favorite mommies is returning and sitting at my table too!!! Yay! Super excited about that!!!

We don't think HE is doing the calling, we think he is letting someone else use his phone. Either way the charges were done, we still can't get ahold of him and now the phone is suspended. We can't afford anymore charges. Oh and it is calls to Mexico.
Think I FINALLY have Dustin talked into buying both kids new carseats. Things around here are going to be SUPER tight but I know it will be worth it.
I was just trying to rationalize to myself that the seats were ok, I KNOW I have to be reasonable because of finances, but HELLO I will give up A LOT to be sure my kids are safe.
Also mom said I can make payment arrangements ahead of time with ATT so I won't have to pay the full $400 bill next month.
Had another gallbladder attack last night. THANK GOD it wasn't one of the worst. I was only out of commision for about 15 mins versus 45mins - hours. I'm sure it was the late night pizza and pop I had. BLAH! Only 4 more days! And I am more than ready to have it done. Still anxious but sooo ready.

Amanda- Jumped through it. Thinking maybe he saw a cow and decided he wanted steak for lunch. There's a break in the houses and you can clearly see the pasture behind the row of houses that face ours.
Neighbor was able to grab the dogs by giving them lunch meat. He heard the glass break and saw Lucy jump out. Since he knew the dogs were ours and we weren't home, he put them in his yard so they wouldn't run off. In the process he noticed my number on the dogs' tags and called.

We are still paying the $10 a month so we can keep in contact with him. We didn't know any international calls were allowed or even made until I just went to pay the bill, got it blocked yesterday but the rep said that if they are trying to use a calling card then it will still charge both ATT and the calling card. Checked the minutes again today, another hour added on just yesterday. Also by using a calling card it bypasses the block I put on. Called and suspended the phone today. However there isn't anything we can do for the calls already made.
Yes my mom is still with ATT.
Got the truck looked at today. $400 damage to the bumper, and I have to take it to a local dealer for the hitch, will do that Monday. The guy was pretty clueless as what to look for on the carseats. But according to the memo he had (he even printed me a copy) we don't need to replace the carseats. I am going to look more into it though. The memo was from March 07 and says that some states may be stricter. Doesn't seem to be any stress marks or anything on the car seats but we want to be REALLY sure!
Going to lay down with Dustin. Another loooong night with Kadi being sick. Good thing Adam slept all night though.

Is your Mom still with AT&T? Baby brother started working at an AT&T store last summer for the iPhone launch. Was asst. mgr. within 2 months. Is getting his own store at the end of September. A new store much closer to his home. Sales rep to mgr. in under 16 months. Go Baby Bro!
Well, less than 12 hours in the new house and Sarge has already taken out a window. And the screen. *sigh*

Well lets add to the fire.
Just went to pay our Cell bill and have $65 extra in charges from BILs phone for international calls. BLAH! It gets worse, checked our current minutes too since it looks like he and Ash are blowing thru them. . .in 6 days he has added another 305 internatinal minutes. . . at .49 PER MINUTE! Thats another $150 so far, doesn't include any calls he may have made today.
Not even sure if I mentioned it to ya'll yet but our tenants living in our house in Texas are now going month to month. Wasn't supposed to be allowed but we can't afford to fight it right now either. So they could move out on a months notice and we would be out our house payment more a month until new tenats move in.
I am just sooo stressed right now. I have just been bawling my eyes out.

Amy- It might dry out her skin a bit. But unless she licks it off before it dries, I don't think it will hurt her. Hope doc gives you something that helps.
Hired a few of DH's employees to help move the big stuff. Made two trips today and plan to finish tomorrow. Well, not finish moving everything. But at least get all the big stuff.
The three guys are brothers and they cracked me up. At times it was like watching an older, male, Mexican version of the girls.
They'd get to bickering about how to load something in the trailer. They'd do it in Spanish, so I didn't understand the words. But it was clear what they were saying.
But they could communicate without saying a word when moving big stuff upstairs or securing the load.

Made the kids Dr appts today. We leave here in a lil bit. They both went to sleep at 8. Kadi woke up at 9 coughing, she fell back asleep about 10. Adam woke up at 10:30 not able to breath and coughing his lil head off, I put him in the swing in hopes of him being able to breath better. Worked a lil but then he thought it was play time. He fell back asleep at almost 1am. Kadi was up coughing when I put Adam back in his bed. Stayed up with her til 3am. I finally got to go to bed at 3am. At 6am Adam woke up coughing his head off and of course still couldn't breath. He fell back asleep at 7, slept til 8 and now we are all awake. BLAH! I am sooooo sleepy. Not even sure what the kids have because the medicines I have been giving Kadi for a week doesn't seem to budge it, actually getting worse. And whatever they have they gave to Dustin and I. We aren't coughing yet but we both have runny noses and sore throats. BLAH!
Gonna be a long day!

Amanda- Glad you seem to be handling it well. Along with the three girls, I had an ectopic and 5 miscarriages. They didn't get me down as much after I had #1. But before she was born, they were very traumatic.
Amy- Hope all goes well. Know you're not excited by the idea of having surgery. Are there any non-surgical options for getting rid of gallstones?
And think of how much more you can do for and with the kids when you're not in pain or weren't up all night in pain.
Left a bag of supplies on the counter this morning. Going back to new house after dogs do their thing outside.
Today is cabinet door and drawer day. Mostly sanding, filling dings and repairing. Have phantom vibrations in my hands from the sander. :D
Want to paint them with the sprayer. Not sure if the rain will hold off long enough to get started on that today. But at least it's not 100+ in the shade.

No full blown gallattacks but I have been having problems since yesterday afternnon that aren't going away. My chest and back are killing me and I'm all bloated. Thought i was gonna have to go to ER last night but ate a handful of tums, drank 3 bottles of water and a motrin and it settled enough for me to sleep. Seems like I may have to do the same tonight as I can already feeling it progressively getting worse. Surgery consult in the morning. Wish me luck!
On a better note, pretty much bought Kadi a whole new wardrobe, between ROSS and craigslist she should be good for a while. Bought Adam new sleepers and a few outfits also, bought a Gymboree one on CL for $5. . . still with tags on it. WOO HOO! For both Kids spent $125! Now they just need more new shoes.

Hope all went well.
Girls going to MIL's for a few days. Then they're going to Mom's. School starts the 25th.
New cuts, scrapes and bruises daily. But making progress. Tomorrow is another painting day. Three of the four bedrooms and both full bathrooms.
Will also try to paint a bunch of the louvered doors and shutters that have been cleaned and sanded. But that depends on when MIL gets the girls and if we meet halfway or if she comes all the way here.

Back from farm now. DH has a couple business trips. Nothing left on Craigslist anymore. Using the money earned by bringing in the maid and babysitter both on Thursday to work on the house. Taking the kids for swim lessons and make up from storm cancellation last week. Mom returns from out of state summer job this weekend. Plans to take nieces on adventure next weekend. Labor Day Reunion Weekend follows that. Then it Preschool, MDO and MOPS all start up!!!

Vasectomy was done this morning. Props to Dustin. 8 weeks until he can submit a specimen and be officially cleared! Count down begins! WOO HOO!
On another note. Dustin's bro is on a bus back to Texas today. Uncle's wife got tired of watching him sit on his butt and do nothing but play poker on puter and watch tv. Took him to get a job down the street and he gave this lame excuse about not being able to work, the next day she went and bought him a ticket back to Texas (Kinda funny). Then they call us and hoo haa about everything. Dus and I both straight up told them thats how he was going to be ahead of time and we have BEEN THERE DONE THAT! They still complain saying "No ya'll don't understand". LOL Um I'm pretty sure we do. Only difference is that Uncle's wife put her foot down harder and quicker, SHE only gave him 2 weeks, he bummed off us for like 8 months or something. Just praying now that he don't do anything stupid, like suicide. He has said he has thought about it pretty recent I'm sure. And now practically getting kicked to the curb by family, of course will make him feel worse.

I can't imagine. Wrong for lots of reasons. Can't imagine why a doctor would choose to practice that way, either.
It was laproscopic, but can't remember where the incisions were. Less than 1/2". Can't see them now.
For the first six months or so, I had a little digestive issue. If I ate a big meal or a meal higher in fat than usual, a trip to the bathroom would follow. Not an hour or so later, but immediately.
But I knew it was coming, so it wasn't too bad. Definitely better than staying up all night in pain. :D

Other than the follow up appt for my C-section with my surgeon, I have NEVER seen the same Dr twice.
It sucks!
I MAY have seen the same midwife or OB twice but can't specifically remember. I KNOW never more than twice though.
I think I've only had one mild attack, when Amy was here in May, other than that I either have the constant dull back/chest pain or full blown attacks that last 45mins to 3hours or so.
A weird thing, I have all the gas problems but hardly ever get heartburn.
Did you have problems with your stomach after the surgery? Incision problems? How did they do your surgery?
I'm not a fan of having 4 small incisions and having them go thru my belly button. I am having enough self image problems without having 5 more scars on my stomach. Plus someone told me they actually cut thru the muscle too? How the heck am I ever supposed to get my stomach back to normal? *sigh*

Hmmm I dunno what the heck the Dr was talking about then.
Right now just working on changing my diet to try and avoid anymore attacks.
I didn't even know that gallbladder attacks were misdiagnosed as food poisoning etc. I even went to the ER DURING an attack, sat in the waiting room for 2 hours and was still having the attack when i went back to a room. Puking, sweating like crazy and they just said they didn't know and sent me on my way. Went home still in pain, 4 hours later, even after a shot of dilaudid.
Makes me so mad sometimes. Took 6 Drs and 19 attacks before they figured it out.
Do you have any other tips to try and avoid the attacks, the only thing the Dr said was to cut back on fatty foods. . . . Did that A LONG time ago, which probably explains why I haven't had a full blown attack since May. Only a constant dull pain that occasionally gets worse and then goes back down.
Haven't heard anything from the Dr yet, which HOPEFULLY means all my bloodwork came back fine.

Amy- Gallstones by themselves don't hurt.
The pain comes from one (or more) blocking the duct. The attack ends when the stones move and the gallbladder empties.
The muscle contractions from vomiting are strong enough to move the stones, which is why many times stones are mistaken for food poisoning or a stomach virus.
Sometimes the duct is blocked long enough for the gallbladder to become enlarged. When it gets backed up like this, the chance of it becoming infected increases dramatically.
If you aren't in the middle of an attack and your gallbladder doesn't appear inflamed or infected, surgery isn't usually done immediately.

I ASKED if I could get the surgery right away. He didn't get into a lot of details about the gallstones, just told me there were numerous gallstones and said "No wonder you're in so much pain." Then he preceeded to check me, pushed on my stomach and the minute he pushed on my gallbladder i felt the pain radiate thru my back. Went home in more pain then when I showed up, still not excruciating, just the dull back pain but worse. Took med just in case.
He DID however tell me that if I feel like I have heartburn and hurt REALLY bad then to IMMEDIATELY call an ambulance. Because that could mean that a gallstone is lodge in the tube.
Doing blood work today. Just pray nothing else is affected by the gallstones.

TS - OMG-Girl! At least you didn't fall of the roof and crack ribs like my old boss did. But tailbone pain is NOT fun. Poor thing!

FYI... Smooth concrete floors covered in saw dust are slippery.
Fell yesterday and busted myself up pretty good. Woke up this morning feeling like I'd been run over.
Headache is almost gone, but still have a big tender spot. Glad I hit it on the side of the truck instead of the floor.
Landed more on my hip than tailbone. Which is good, but even sitting hurts. By tonight my entire left cheek is pretty much one big, beautiful bruise.
Right elbow got the worst of it. Hit the concrete first and took most of the impact. Giant goose egg that runs from the tip of my elbow to half way down my forearm. Split the skin. Not a scrape, but a cut so straight and clean it looks like it was made with a scalpel. And there's gorgeous bruise that completes the look.
Still hurts bad enough I'm eating with my left hand. Very messy. SK made less of a mess at supper than I did.
Probably a wise decision to put off painting until I can do it right-handed. :D

Amy- Glad you finally have an explanation. If only your docs had listened to me sooner. ;)
Yours must not be as bad as mine were. Wasn't really given an option. They were going to remove my gallbladder. Surgeon went over the details while anesthesiologist got started.
Was released from the hospital less than 12 hours later. Back to full speed in just a few days.

Whelp it's Gallstones! According to the Dr, numerous gallstones. Sent all my U/S to the surgeons to find out if/when they are doing surgery. Dr isn't sure if they are gong to just take the gallstones out yet or remove my gallbladder.
Will hopefully know something within 2 weeks.
