I was on depo for 2 or so years and I was put on clomid after a Yr of trying with irregular cycles and im now getting regular. It can take anywhere from 12_24 months conceive, just depends how fast your body bounces back.

np :) if you get impatient and go to another dr just tell them you've been off depo for a while and want to get your cycle back to normal to ttc soon, soemtimes soem dr's want us to wait to see if our bodies will do it on their own, but once we make up our minds to ttc, we tedn to get impatient..lol

it depends, everyone's different. i was on it for 2 yrs, off for a year and my period never came, so i got on provera to restart it, then after about 7 mos or so still hadn't gotten preg so i started clomid. some gals get preg quickly afterwards, i didn't. edpect your first few periods to be pretty crampy as your body gets used to having your period again, and expect some hormonal/attitude changes, warm dh of them too, just to be on the safe side, hehe. if you want to start ttc right away, get the dr to give you something to start your cycle again so you can start charting ovulation.

Hey All,

This is my first post since I just joined so HI!!! I am due to get my Depo Shot Sept. 6th, however we have made the decision not to go thru with it and get off the Depo so after Sept 6th, no more Birth Control. I heard about bone density loss and I have been on it 4 years now so I figured let nature take its course.

Does anyone know how long it takes not only to get a regular cycle going again, but how long it takes to Concieve? I am 25, almost 26, a bit overweight but about to get married. Any advice would help me so much!

Thanks!
