From our Specialist the advice was "every second day" in the 5 day period around ovulation time. No problem with every day though, the second day recommendation was to reduce the "pressure" on couples. 'Fresh is best' was the sperm advice too - so waiting for a build up may not be such a great idea :)

Sperm quality actually decreases if ejaculation occurs too frequently. Fertility specialists encourage intercourse only every other day from cycle days 10-15. Count cycle day 1 as the first day of full flow of your menses. Having "timed" intercourse gets old REALLY, really fast. A better option if "scheduling" intimate time becomes to forced is to use an ovulation predictor kit. Test with your second urine output in the morning starting on cycle day 10-15. Once you get a positive, have intercouse within the next 24 hours. Best wishes!

How often should I have sex around the time of ovulation to ensure I get pregnant? I've heard once every other day and once everyday. I've even heard once every twelve hours. Which one is it?
