I have an entire library of DVDs so I can mix it up for my home workouts. That took a while to accumulate, but I love the idea of using Netflix. Does the Canadian version have workout videos? I don't remember seeing any...

I am in the same boat. I am going to start walking on my breaks at work. If I do this it will get in at least 45 minutes of walking between my two breaks and lunch. I agree. Walking is the perfect exercise since you can continue after pregnancy.

What has worked for me is Walking/Jogging in place, using a step bench, doing jumping jacks. there are a few videos on SparkPeople by coach nicole for cardio I like to use they are free and require no equipment. If you have a Wii they make a few good games that have worked for me as well, 'My Fitness Coach' and also 'walk it out'. And of course cutting down on calories/fat and sodium and giving up all soda. Good Luck TTC and losing weight.

I use both Netflix Streaming and WiiFit for the workouts. My goal is to lose at least 20 pounds before we start TTC. I want to be at a healthy weight beforehand and get in the habit of eating healthy before pregnancy so I can hopefully keep that habit up during the pregnancy.

If you have Netflix Streaming TV on a bluray or other device like that you can stream exercise videos & they are excellent. You can also walk. Make sure you add resistance or weight training (light weights). You just have to do it. I went through the same thing. To help your diet you can follow the suggestions on the nutrition tracker. Basically in order to lose the weight you will need to exercise & just take in less calories than you burn in a day. It also helps to workout before you eat anything in the morning. Just make sure you eat something within 90 minutes after working out as this helps restore the muscles after working out. There's an article today on babyfit that actually has videos of workouts for pre-pregnancy and a modified set of videos for pregnant women. Hope this helps! Baby dust to you! I am in the same boat as you...I've been using the Wii Fit Plus. Since I can do it at home, I don't need a gym (MIL got it for us for Christmas last year). I love it!
