Hi there - I totally feel for you. I know how extremely frustrating this can be. The Herbs I ahve learned about are in a book called "Getting Pregnant Naturally" bu Winifred Conkling and they are also mentioned in another book called "Fertility, Cycles and Nutrition" by Marilyn Shannon. Almost all Natural Fertilility books talk about using these same herbs over & over again. The main one being Vitex, aka Chasteberry. It has been used for hundreds of years to help regulate cycles & hormones in women and that is usally the reason that most women cannot get pregnant. Most women who have had problems have had their hormones checked by having their blood hormones checked. The only problem with that route is that the blood hormones dont show what is actually being used or available in teh body, it only shows what is in the blood stream. SO, a saliva hormone test is what the people in the natural health community say is the more effcient and correct way of finding what is really being used. FYI: the saliva hormone test was originally created by a doctor either Stanford or Harvard (cant ever rememeber which) Some main stream doctors use them as well. Anyhow, there is are a lot of HUGE theories as to why more women today have such screwed up hormones but that is for another topic.

The list of herbal remedies for women trying to get pregnant are below. FYI: Chasteberry cannot be taken while taking Clomid.

Chasteberry (vitex agnus)
Dong Quai (angelica Sinesis)
Gotula Kola (centella Asiatica)
Stinging Nettle
Sarasparilla (smilax Officinalis)
Wild Yam
... and many others.

The two herbal pills that people have been raving about that encompass a lot of these together and then some are below.

Fertile Aid
www.fertileaid.com

Fertility Blend
http://www.fertilityblend.com/
....this one has more herbs in it.

When reading up on them they both say it can take 3 - 6 months to work.

Sorry thsi is so long but I read constantly about all of this (5 books this week!)

let me know if you have any other questions.

P.S. There is also a Fertile Tea out there but there is no way to monitor how much is getting into yoru system.

P.P.S. you may wnat to aks your doctor about taking Bio-Indentical progesterone so that your body can Identify it better (this you can get at Whole foods or other natural food stores as it is not regulated.

I don't have any advice for this but I am bumping this message becuase I would like to know if someone has the answer to this and I don't want it to get lost.

I have been ttc since last november and have been having progressivly longer cycles, I am currently on CD 48 with no O, called my dr and she wants me to start on a progesteron treatment (not sure what) but isn't going to start clomid because it is so expensive for all the testing required and I don't have health insurance. We are saving for it and if I don't get a BFP in 3 cycles we are going to go the clomid route. If there are any herbs that I could take to help me out that would be great. TIA to anyone who can help with this :)

Im wondering if any of you ladies know what the draw back or benefits are to doing either Clomid of Fetility Blend or Fertile Aid. I am currently a non-ovulator or Delayed ovulator plus I have low progesterone and my doc says that clomid is the only way but she doesn't believe in the Herbs. Anyone have ideas on what is best or stories to tell? Thanks!
