I only have two but they're 18months aparat and in he beginning it was very hard. and overwhelming. It gets better and now they're best friends:)Just make sure you spend time with each one of them..esp the two older ones and get them to do things for the baby (bringing a clean diaper, helping with bath, signing to him). good luck!

I can't say I have experience from the mom perspective, but my siblings and I are about the same amount apart (my brothers were 4 and 2 when I was born). I think you'll have to have an extra eye or two out for the older children than you did when the last one was born (it seems like each kid multiplies the potential for trouble-making by at least 10), but it's definitely doable. Just make sure to take advantage of family members or friends who offer to look after the older ones for a few hours--that might be the only chance you get for a nap those first few months.

I am so excited to be having another baby, but I'm nervous. At the time the new baby will be born, my oldest will be four and my other son will be eighteen months. Anyone have experience with this age spread?
