Our pedi said Eucerin cream for my LOs eczema and it has been awesome! His skin is sooo soft now after I put it on! My pedi said to get it at Walgreens, they have a generic brand that is just as good as the expensive kind!

I've been having a similar problem with my son's cheeks. They've been red and dry now for about 3 months off and on. Its so frustrating not knowing what it is. The doc recommended Eucerin at first. That worked for a while then got bad again. Pedi gave us an antibiotic that improved but did not cure the redness. I've been using the Aveeno baby cream but that still is not doing the trick. Some people have told me baby oil, but on the face? Its so hard to tell what's causing this redness. Does anyone have any advice?

I bought her some aveeno baby today. I bought the creamy baby wash, the soothing lotion, and the soothing relief moisture cream. I used all of it on her tonight. And she hasn't rubbed her forehead at all. I'm going to use the soothing relief moisture cream 4x a day until she no longer has dry skin then i will use it 1-2x a day. I'll use the lotion all over her after her bath and obviously the creamy baby wash i'll use at bathtime! I hope it works. Tomorrow we are supposed to be getting really bad weather so i may not be able to take her to the drs and i'll have to reschedual it for next week. But i'm hoping this aveeno works. Her skin is already looking better since we have been visiting my grandparents for a few days. Our apt is always soooooo HOT. I could turn our heat off, open a window when its only 30 degrees out, and it'll still be 70+ in our apt, UGH!!! it's awful!

My son has eczema but it isn't on his face. My DH has psoraisis really bad, so I hope this will go away. Anyways, my pedi said to buy Eucerin (lotion from wal-mart or any store of that type). I found some actual eczema lotion made by gentle naturals, but it is really greasy. It soaks in quickly, but I found that the Eucerin works well. I would definitely talk to your pedi.

My 3 month old daughter has dry cracked skin on her cheeks and ears, it has this liquid seeping from the cracks. She also has a rash on her fore head which also has dry skin, its not cracked though and a rash on her neck. She has an appointment on friday with her doctor, but what could this be caused by? Could she have exzama(sp?)????? thanks so much. I have been putting lotion on her forehead and antibiotic ointment on her cheeks when she's sleeping. It'd just be great to know what it might be.
