my LO had thrush. The dr, said it is really painful for them so often times they will stop eating because it hurts to swallow. Their tongue should be pink just like yours and my LO is bottle fed so yes it happens to them also. The dr. gave us a liquid medicine to give her after she ate that she hated but we saw results right away. She was back to eating normally within a day.

Hope this helps.

My baby girl's tongue is green too. I just took her to the doc today and she said nothing is wrong with her. She has to go back in a week though to check again. She says she is healthy and not to worry. I still wonder what is wrong though. A green tongue doesnt seem normal. I thought about maybe asking another doc or something. Have you had any luck finding out what it might be?

Thrush is a yeast infection. Yeast loves warm, moist places. If nipples or pacifiers are not cleaned appropriately they can allow infections to persist. It is certainly more common in breastfed babies but yeast infections happen to many people young and old. Better to get it checked so you can rule that out and move on to the next possibility.

I think it may be thrush also, but it's taking on a different color in your baby. The doctor always knows best. Let us know what you find out.

It could be thrush that is typically white and then it is colored in some way. I would take your LO in to have it swabbed so you can take appropriate action for treatment.

I have never heard of a green tongue but I wonder if it could be the nasal discharge going down into her mouth. Did you talk to the doctor? Just curious.
