More then likely it was listed as a potential side affect in the fine print of the literature they had you read before they administered the shot or sent home with you.

Hope it goes away soon.

Funny thing is I NEVER heard this from my pediatrician and when I tried to research on the internet NOTHING came up.

Oh well.

Thanks,

Lisa

Hi! Same thing here.. my son had his 4 month shots on Jan 11 or so if I remember right. The day after, these red knots appeared - very hard and one was almost quarter size.

The redness went away in the next few days, but the knots stayed. They are smaller, but nowhere close to gone.

The doc said something about the muscle tissue when he got his shots. I know people say to massage their thighs a bit right after the shots so this doesn't happen, but I obviously didn't do it long enough to help! My doc said unless the knots were red AND pussy that it was ok and will eventually go away.

I feel awful though because they feel so bad! But they don't bother him at all (he was sore there for a few days after the shots, but not now).

So, we're still waiting for them to go away!

I will assume that is it, but keep our doctor appointment anyway!

Thank you. I feel a bit better.

She had her one year shots on January 9th. My husband thought that too, but I could not find anything when researching.

Could that be it?

Thanks,

Lisa

Has she recently received an immunization?

I am sure I am just paranoid, but my only baby girl has this knot/bump on the outer side of her upper thigh.
It does not seem to bother her when I touch it.
It has gotten smaller, but not disappeared.
It is not visible to the naked eye, you have to touch her leg to feel it.
There is not one on the other leg.

I am taking her to the doctor, but our pediatrician is out until Thursday and I can not find any ideas on WebMd, here, google, anywhere.

Thanks,

Lisa
